I Hate The Klingon Race

Hate Klingons? Boring? I admit they can be really one dimensional at times, but it's hard to imagine Trek without them.
I think they were more interesting than Romulans, because we hardly ever saw their culture, they always seemed to be villains who hated the Federation, but we never got close enough to them to see why.
I also have to admit they can take the 'honor' thing too far in some episodes.
The dumbest Klingon episode that I've seen is the one in Voyager--where a group of Klingons get into a ship 80 years ago and fly it (into the Delta Quadrant??) on some quest to find some sacred Klingon who will lead them back to honor, etc, etc, etc.
True, and good argument. But their feudal system is the strangest.
If that's true, they should be a minor third "world" power at that point. That's not the path to a healthy society that can properly care for itself--remember what happened in the Praxis incident. They needed help!

Yes but said government collapsed about 40 years later.
Because they didn't have replicators, nor did they have complete control of their world. A few minor differences have that impact on things.
So did the Cardassians look what happened to their military dictatorship government.
probably because they don't go around loudly proclaiming their love of battle, disdain for peace, hitting each other with pain sticks have a cultural obsession with fighting and violence, etc.
The Cardassians just seem like a typical, albeit militaristic society.They'd be pretty comparable to TOS Klingons, not TNG ones.
Yup, which is exactly why I was ticked off when I saw one right off the bat during the premiere of ENT. Klingons have been so overused, they bore me.
And again, we've seen Klingons who aren't like this and act in a more "human" fashion. Heaven forbid we get to see the exaggerated warrior types AND the more "human" ones instead of taking the lazy way out and have them ALL act just like humans the way the TOS Klingons did.
Klingon's are way cool in my book. i love their ways. The Klingon arch in TNG (dis-commendation etc.) contained some of my favourite Trek episodes.

I can imagine sitting in front of the tube, watching sports and having a few beers and Gakh rinds while discussing the finer points of politics and women with good ol' K'Bob..
K'Bob was a Klingon salesman...(probably sold boots before he got his final gig ) and was a bit out of his league when Kirk and Co. showed up...
But damn if he didn't give it his best..

Let's not get personal. There are plenty of positive threads on this board and you're free to create them yourselves if you feel the need to. It's probably true that criticisms and negativity get more attention and publicity on the net because people who are angry/outraged/pissed off about something fell more of a need to speak out than people who thought a film/show/episode/book was ok or enjoyable. Still, boards like this one are what we make of them. General incriminations against a whole, vaguely defined group of people don't help. On the contrary, that's pretty negative, too.

Yeah, that's the ticket...
I've read somewhere that the writers confused the Romulan honor thing with the Klingons, and switched the two races. The Romulans became the schemers, and the Klingons became the "honorable" warriors.
