Matt Smith better than Tennant and Eccleston...

...at driving really, really fast, as anyone who saw Top Gear last night will know :)

I think he was faster than Billie too.

As always he came across really well in his interview with Clarkson.

Not to take it away from him but he was driving a faster car I think. Eccleston didn' have much driving experience and drove an automatic. I am slightly disappointed they didn't do the materialization effect for the car.

Charges in, ready to witness a fan war the likes of which even God has never seen....Oh.

Great headline Starkers. :)

I'm gonna have to search Youtube for this one.

Indeed the current Kia C'eed is a 1.6 with 125bhp, so not actually too sluggish in such a lightweight car. The liana and Lacetti were both slower by a fair margin.

If anything the Kia is a very good car by any standard, just lacking a good badge.

TO CLARIFY - for anyone who doesn't know, we have a different attitude to power and engine size in cars here in the UK than there is in the USA. ;)

Didn't John Barrowman wipe out doing a Top Gear a couple years ago? I seem to recall reading that he was involved in an accident doing one of these shows.

^I think that was on Fifth Gear. He rolled the car several times and got some glass in his eye, but came away with only some bad bruises.

I found his rendition of "Singing in the Rain" quite good. Though "A Clockwork Orange" has forever altered how I hear that song.

Apparently they cut out the best parts of the interview for some reason or another. Wonder if there's any BBC employees lurking around here that have access to them? :D

You might be referring to Richard Hammond being in a serious accident while filming a segment for the show.
