I really love that episode, but the EMH Mark 2 is a little gay-ish... I hope my ship never gets one... (If I had a ship...)

Yes, god forbid your EMH would want to have sex with another EMH of the same gender.....wait, what?

Also, "Message in a Bottle" is one of my favorite Trek episodes. Its kinda dumb that you consider it so awful but all you can mention is that the torpedo/shield damage doesn't quite make sense because that's really not important

Thank god this is the only time I have ever seen Andy Dick as I have no associations to taint the ep which was IMO great. VOY was the most humorous Trek and they really had a lot of fun with this one.

Even if the episode had absolutely nothing else going for it, which it doesn't, it would still merit respect for somehow managing to make Andy Dick not completely obnoxious.

I thought DS9 had the best comedy writing by far. VOY fell flat way too many times with their attempts at humor.

I love this episode. So funny, and then the great moment at the end where they know they've made contact with Earth finally.

The only thing that bothered me in retrospect was that it was a missed opportunity of having the EMH in the alpha quadrant, only to have a silly episode. But that was rectified eventually with Pathfinder an Life Line.
