http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/universal/thebournelegacy/ Holy crap...not only is it looking like a good year for movies...but a damn good year for Jeremy Renner. This trailer looks fantastic! I love the 60's/70's trailer and music aesthetic. Those eras are my favourite in cinematic style, and I hope the film lives up to that design. This trailer got me more excited about "The Bourne Legacy" than I ever was about any of the other Bourne films. Bravo Tony Gilroy...bravo. And to think Renner was once just a Patient of the Week on House. I think I'll watch the "Jimmy Quidd" episode tonight!
It does look very good. Good to see Allen and Finney in the trailer for the sake of continuity. And the fight scenes look, well, very Bourne-ish. I still think Renner was cast because he's in the same physical mould as Damon - he's even dressed alike in the poster. But looks like he'll have no problems with the action stuff. We've been discussing this movie on another thread. Wonder if a merger would be appropriate. I miss the other thread! http://www.trekbbs.com/showthread.php?t=129908&highlight=bourne+legacy
Jeremy Renner, Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, AND part of one of the best trilogies ever put on film? (Well, no longer a trilogy) I'm in.
Very good trailer, I'm looking forward to it. They also released a new poster: http://www.comingsoon.net/imageGallery/The_Bourne_Legacy/large/hr_The_Bourne_Legacy_1.jpg
i think people wanted to poo poo this film due to the lack of Matt Damon. looks really good. can't wait to see how it fits in with the other movies.
I had been hesitant about this film ever since Paul Greengras and Matt Damon decided not to do it (Julia Stiles, too, I suppose), but this looks very promising. I'm really looking forward to it and hopefully it'll fit well with the rest of the films.
Ok, color me impressed. Glad to see a lot of familiar faces in that trailer. I haven't been following this production too close, I'm sure it was announced they were back but I'd forgotten. Plus adding Ed Norton, nice. Mission Impossible=check The Avengers=check Bourne saga=check Looks like this could be the best 9months of positive buzz on Renner he's ever seen to date.
Well, minus that incident in Thailand...http://www.tmz.com/2012/01/05/jeremy-renner-thailand-stabbed/
I think he had started to get a little attention prior to that, due to his roles in 28 Weeks Later and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I remember his appearance on Angel even before those roles, in a season one episode titled "Somnambulist" as a vampire sired by Angel.
This is awesome. I guess I need to break out my Bourne Trilogy HD-DVDs and give them a rewatch in anticipation!
