How do you ask for coffee?

Do you say...

"I'd like a coffee."

or

"I'd like some coffee."

or

"I'd like a cup of coffee."

or

"Give me the fucking pot then scoot!"

or

Some other way?

I'm an "a coffee" person myself.

In the breakroom in my store: "Outta my way!"

In the Starbucks inside my store: (Nothing) <-- they already know the kind of drink I like

In any other Starbucks: "Triple venti mocha, no whip"

<walk up to counter>
"I would like a cup of coffee, please, medium."
<gives money, receives change>
"Thank you."
<receives coffee>
"Thank you very much. Have a nice day."

At least you can get good coffee now, once was the only good coffee you could get in Seoul was from those vending machines that mixed the dry goods and water for you.

Why are you ordering coffee from a clairvoyant?

I only go to Starbucks for the mocha I like to drink. If I am ever drinking regular coffee, it's either in the breakroom (free) or when I'm eating lunch someplace else.

I usually brew a pot at home or drink from the company pot at work. No "asking" required, although I have been known to signal to my family and/or colleagues my intentions by tapping the inside of my left elbow.

Otherwise, when I do order coffee, the exchange is, "What would you like, sir?"
Me: "Just coffee, please."
B: "Cream? Sugar?"
Me: "Just black, please."

Pretty simple.
