A one-month delay in getting a Mack trilogy is sad, but this is a seriously exciting announcement and more than makes up for it in my book.
Have the dates been pushed back? First one still in May?
It's the David R. George III duology that begins in May (or technically in June; my
Forgotten History is the May book). Dave Mack's trilogy is not yet scheduled, but we've known for some time that it had to be near the end of the year because everything prior to October had been announced already. The schedule as we know it is:
Feb: TOS:
The Rings of Time
Mar: TOS:
That Which Divides
Apr: VNG:
Storming Heaven
May: TOS/DTI:
Forgotten History
Jun/Jul: TP:
Plagues of Night/Raise the Dawn
Aug: TTN:
Fallen Gods
Sep: VGR:
The Eternal Tide
Oct: TP:
Brinkmanship
Which presumably leaves Nov-Jan for Dave's TNG trilogy, though the scheduling is not official until it's announced.
But are all 24th century books except Voyager going to be "Typhon Pact" for the next few years or until the Pact is disbanded? I hope there is more going on in the quadrant than just the Typhon Pact and we aren't just going to be dealing with issues revolving around 2 superpowers rattling sabres.
As you can see above, the 24th century is represented in 2012 by DTI, TNG, VGR, and
Titan as well as
Typhon Pact.
