Do you think Looney Tunes is still funny?

I absolutely love how Daffy has to get in that one last "TRIP IT!" before the splash. :guffaw:

Part of what makes this for me are the drums playing as he is clumsily trying to regain his footing while stumbling down the hill. It's brilliant.

Sorry for lack of embedding too!

Speaking of the music, remember, that's the Warner Brothers studio orchestra doing that music. The some orchestra who played the score to Casablanca, et al.

btw, Carl Stalling borrowed liberally fro the work of jazz artist Raymond Scott. I have a CD of Scott's music, and it's a blast to listen to.

I also have the CD collection of Carl Stalling's WB cartoon soundtracks, which is downright mind-blowing to listen to without the visuals. Do NOT play it while driving!

We have two of the DVD collections, and my kids absolutely love them! (The disc of mostly Daffy cartoons is their favorite!) It's funny, when we're on long trips and they're playing those on the DVD player behind me, I can picture the entire cartoon in my head, even when there's no dialogue!

A local theater near me is having a Bugs Bunny festival sometime in the spring. I was thinking of taking my 9 year old niece with me.

Provided we're talking about the classic 'toons (which we seem to be) and not the new stuff made for the Cartoon Network (who also rerun the classics), then HELL YES!

"SHOOT THE DUCK! SHOOT THE DUCK!" :guffaw:

As I said before, Bugs is the original troll.

The whole idea behind the "Yoinks and away!" skit that makes me laugh is that Daffy has to swing all the way to the bottom, but a tree foils every attempt he makes, and even though he eventually does make it, he has to chop down all the trees and try it all over again.

Here is minie having an affair with donald duck its a bit suspicious

One Froggy Evening, Chuck Jones’s timeless little fable of greed and futility, is simply one of the best cartoons ever made.

Here’s a website with some trivia on the songs used in One Froggy Evening. Interestingly, about half the songs date from after 1892, the year the frog was sealed into the cornerstone. Apparently the frog could not only sing and dance, but was precognitive as well!

The unfinished song “The Michigan Rag” was the only one specifically written for the cartoon.

...the hell was that?
What the hell was what?

The hell was THIS? :
