Yeah, they don't purposefully try to make things suck. Sometimes things just don't work out.

Most of them dont work out or are forgettable soon after we read them. For every COIE or AOA there are dozens of events that are anything from bland to horrific. But that doesnt matter because we keep buying them in the hopes that the next event we read will be the one we remember. I have longbox after longbox filled with events I would rather forget than read again. I have maybe one short box full of good events and thats from over 25 years of events(Using COIE as the start point)

it wasn't till after Blackest Night that i got tired of all the events. after that i kinda slacked off on DC and ended up reading more Marvel stuff. but now i'm burnt out on all the Marvel events.

Where would you put Civil War in all of that? I decided to start reading Marvel with Civil War and all of the stuff before and after it.

I love that Wonder Woman cover. Jumping through the air, firing two "pistols of Eros." Gives new meaning to the words "sex pistols." :)

I love that cover too. Azzarello's "Wonder Woman" is my third favourite book...with that, here is my pull list for tomorrow:

    -Batman #5
    -Supergirl #5
    -Wonder Woman #5

(I have a ton of Marvel pulls tomorrow).

Agreed, Chiang isn't getting enough attention. His Diana has a face that's reminiscent of the original 40s Diana, slightly rounder than you'd expect on a body that is physically imposing - more than anything, Chiang's Diana looks distinctive (especially in a Betty/Veronica era where most female superheroes have the same face). A really great design.

    I'm catching up...

Red Hood and the Outlaws #4: I started reading this title to see what all the hoopla was about concerning Starfire, but stuck with it because it's nicely written. Some of the story isn't grabbing me though, and I want to cut down on what I'm buying, so I plan to give up on the title.

Nightwing #3 and #4: Nightwing and Batgirl team up and she's just as good here as she is in her own title. I enjoyed the little love triangle between Dick, Babs and Raya.

Supergirl #4: I'm not liking this Tycho guy.

Wonder Woman #4: Love the title, don't like the art. The characters are too roughly drawn. I wish the art captured more of Diana's beauty and grace.

Batgirl #4: Not the best installment, but Babs continues to impress.

Birds of Prey #3 and #4: Batgirl makes an appearance, but she wasn't as well written as she is in her own title. The other girls are nicely written characters though. This is another one I plan to drop. Gotta cut back and this isn't a "must read" title.

Today I'm only getting Red Hood and the Outlaws and Wonder Woman. Although I didn't get a few things last week, and might pick those up today.

So, Batman is some trippy stuff this month. I'm glad I have a laptop, otherwise this issue would have been impossible to read digitally.

Agreed fully on the art in this book. It's just too rough and with too many hard, straight, lines.
