Just ask the Egyptian first born.I prefer to think of it as Ben Rapistberger getting his just desserts. Little karma.

Yeah, let's punish the entire fucking team due to the actions of one man.

As much as it saddens me, and as much as it makes no sense for a Texans fan to hope for a New England win, it's what I'm going to do.
Don't forget that Lord Belichick also sent Grand Moff Pioli and General Crievous to Kansas City to knock off the Packers, thus protecting the Patriots' 16-0 regular season record.I'm not above Darth Sidious like conspiracies involving Lord Belichick and his hand picked Sith minions playing both sides.
He sent his apprentice Count McDooku to the arid, mountainous region of Utapau, err I mean Denver. Allowed himself a 'debilitating' loss at the hands of his former apprentice in 2009, and set the wheels in motion.
McDooku trains a strong yet raw apprentice, knocks of Darth Bill's biggest threat in the form of the Steel Guild and Refno Union, before returning to his rightful place at the dark master's side with the secret plans to the Denver offense.
Fotunately, Tebow has never shot his payload into a small and unforgiving opening before. The plan is proceeding exactly as Belichick has forseen.
Unfortunately, the way the Ewoks fit into this analogy/homage is as that Pats' secondary.
This isn't cranky old man in a foul mood though, this is Reggie McKenzie Regime Change. I think the Raiders will be better for it. I mean, the guy did make the Palmer deal, and he was hired by Davis. So, why wouldn't you fire him?

The Bears should be taking notes here but if the news about them not hiring a new GM is accurate, they're still asleep at the wheel.
Oh, I know, I know. It's just perversely hilarious to me that the Raiders will be on their seventh head coach in ten years.
I have to admit, Jackson getting canned makes me happy, from a competetive perspective. I still think the Palmer trade was iffy, but Jackson probably would have been good for the Raiders. He was trying to change the culture there, and it seemed to be working.
By getting rid of a coach that was having a measure of success for the second year in a row, the Raiders will continue to be trapped in mediocracy and disappointment for the foreseeable future. Works for me.
Well, he would still have some work to do, but I got the impression that he wasn't going to stand for the penalties for too long. Cable was starting to have some success of the field, but he was a thug, and the Raiders have largely been thugs for the longest time, and they weren't going to get turned around overnight. But I really did think that Jackson was going to get that team moved in the right direction.I have to admit, Jackson getting canned makes me happy, from a competetive perspective. Having a record setting year in penalties wasn't changing the culture. It was same crap different year. I do think the trade for Palmer (And if rumors are true and he did fire all the defensive coaches) did him in. He got to the point where he wasn't only the head coach but really just running the entire franchise. Yeah the Death of Al Davis kind of put him in that position, but I thought he got too big for his role (And the fact that he wouldn't shut up).
Bringing in a new coach and really just start the team out fresh, which is what everyone here is thinking. We'll see. Hopefully the Raiders don't hire one too quickly and I don't expect it to be the popular ones (i.e. Gruden, Cower, Billick).
As a Colts fan, I concur.I knew my Lions had little chance against the Saints, but going from 0-16 to a playoff team in the matter of a few years gives me hope.
