Wonder Woman(NBC) *Spoilers!*

I'm really glad there won't be a new WW tv show. I just don't see it working out.

I'd rather there be a WW movie instead of a show.

I agree with the above poster that the actress (Jaimie Alexander) who played Lady Sif in "Thor" would make a pretty good WW.

Well I didn't think the pilot was horrible it just needed some refinement and given what shows NBC put on the air this season I still think it's a shame that the Wonder Woman pilot wasn't sold as a series.

Still. Depending on which origin you want to go with, she was literally granted life by the Gods out of clay! I somehow doubt she's going to be greatly prone to scratches and bruises from most attacks that do not come from another god/demigod.
call it part of my childhood crush, but I always gathered that she wasn't as invulnerable as she thinks she is, and can be hurt by other people as if her powers were somehow nullified in the real world of 'men" LOL

I'd rather have an hour a week. Two hours every few years isn't enough. And despite this show's problems, it would have been my favorite new show of the season given what else came out.

I want to see more personally :)

And from 2007...

Cobie Smulders, the brunette Canadian actress who stars in CBS' How I Met Your Mother, told SCI FI Wire that she'd be open to auditioning for the title role in Joss Whedon’s proposed Wonder Woman movie. She first broached the idea in the February issue of Esquire magazine, which is on sale now.

"It’s funny," Smulders said in an interview at CBS' winter press tour in Pasadena, Calif., last week. "When you do like an interview for two hours, and then they take the Wonder Woman quote. ... My boyfriend ... [is] really into comic books, and ... he was the one who kind of said, 'Hey, it would be cool if you could do that.' And I don’t know. Who knows ? I'll go in for it if it comes up, but it’s definitely not, like, in the works or anything."

Smulders said that the idea has come up before. "I think it’s just the curse of having brown hair in this industry and being an actress," she said.

What her playing Maria Hill in Avengers? I'm very curious to see her in an action role, because so far the only things I've seen her in so far have been HIMYM, and a small recurring role in The L Word.

^Yeah, it does look better on Durance IMO. Which is kinda sad when you take into account the fact that it was made specifically for Palicki.

The suit was the exact same?

It stands to reason that it would be one of the same costumes made for Palicki (I assume there were duplicates). David E. Kelley produced the WW pilot and produces Harry's Law. Probably the reason he wrote this episode was that he had this Wonder Woman costume left over from the pilot and wanted to get some use out of it. TV producers do a lot of recycling, since saving money is always a prime concern for them. Stuff created for failed pilots does sometimes end up getting used in existing productions -- for instance, the sets for the battlestar Pegasus in the SciFi Battlestar Galactica series were actually built for a failed Lost in Space reboot pilot.

That is the second suit that was made for Adrienne Palicki for the pilot so I doubt that it was tailored that much for Palicki.
