2011 NFL Season - A New Game

What a clusterfuck the AFC West is. Denver is going to win it despite being awful. What Tebow is doing is not even professional football.

Way to go, Raiders. Nice defense.

With Oakland losing, it looks like they're still going to back up into the playoffs.

Tebow magic: Broncos finish 8-8 by losing final 3 games as he was 30-of-73 (41%) with 4 INT and 1 TD ... and make playoffs anyway.

Oakland are a bunch of undisciplaned chokers. Not looking forward to hearing all about it this week.

I have to wonder if last weeks game got into Tebow's head. He's almost dropping back to pass and playing like he's afraid. He's throwing everything away if the receiver isn't open by 10+ yards.

No matter what the reason is though, our passing game this week and last week has been bad enough to gag a maggot. It's been steadily improving through Tebow's first 8 starts, but the last two weeks have gone way backwards. Today, our defense and special teams did their jobs, and our running game was churning along nicely until our top two guys started taking turns limping on and off the field. But our passing game has not not held up its part of the bargain. You all know I've been a major Tebow cheerleader, but I'll be the first to admit- I really hope he improves in the offseason because this won't fly. Hopefully a full offseason will get him some steps in the right direction.

As disheartening as it is to back into the playoffs like this, this all is somewhat encouraging. At the beginning of the season, I thought that it was unreasonable to expect Denver to think playoffs this season. After the 1-4 start and then absolutely after Tebow's terrible 1-1 start, I knew for a fact that we were in for a rough season. The fact that we made it to 8-8 this season and made it to the playoffs somehow is surprising and encouraging for the future. Still lots of things needing fixed, but lots of things to love as well.

Not sure if I should celebrate or cry. ;)

Packers/Broncos Superbowl confirmed. Final score: 87-6 Packers, after Aaron Rodgers gets knocked out and replaced by Matt Flynn. How about that game today...

Happy birthday, Shameless!

And to think I come within one blocked FG of pretty much being able to make the same post about KC.

Congrats on making the playoffs, but I think you're gonna get blasted next week, but good luck.

^ If you ignore the rest of the AFC West, the Broncos shouldn't have made the playoffs any more than Seattle did last year.

I think if this year proved anything, it's that the AFC west is a lot worse than the NFC west. It's good to see a division like the NFC west crawl out of the doldrums this year and only look to get better in the future.

Most of it, anyway...

No doubt they're better this year. Last year both west divisions were seriously bad.

And Dallas is looking pretty inept so far tonight.

The Bungles will play in Houston, and they will lose. The problem is the next weekend when Houston goes to Baltimore. As a Texan fan, I'm not looking forward to that one.

Right now, we don't even know if our 3rd or 4th string QB will be playing in the Bungles game. Sheesh. What a year. TJ Yates or Delhomme? Which would you choose?

Well I think much like last year's Chiefs, the Broncos will be weeded out pretty quickly. I know Seattle advanced a round last year, but that was a fluke. For the most part, the playoffs work, and the cream rises to top.

Cowboys suck ass. Romo sucks ass. Pathetic. Ditto the Raiders. Don't even bother showing up for next season guys as you will suck ass then too. I am out.

The Chiefs are better than their record indicated. Injuries killed them this year. It'll be interesting to see whether they keep Orton or Cassell next year.
