Thanks, Squig, I’ll check the hotel.
Thanks, Digits, et al. We figured one morning in DC, we’d ride (bus or cab) to the Jefferson Memorial and work our way up to the Lincoln Memorial, then across the Mall area to the Washington Monument--stopping at everything on the way. Go somewhere for lunch (already scoping places), and hit a Museum. Old Ebbitt Grill looked interesting, but Central Michel Richard had a nice to-go menu (if the weather’s good). Suggestions for the Washington Monument-ish area?
I’ve already made my requests for Congressional Tours of various places, but won’t get a schedule until March, most likely. My Rep’s office asked if there was anything else they can do to make the trip memorable (we’re actually celebrating 25 yrs together next year; 15 years married this year). Any ideas?
ETA: The Ace Hotel averages $351/night while we’re there--for bunk beds!! I kid you not.
