wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

well two of the biggest upsets so far are ZACK RYDER IS NOW THE INTERCONTINENTAL CAHMPION. and DANIEL BRYAN IS THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION.

fantastic PPV :bolian::bolian::bolian::bolian::bolian:
Zack Ryder is the United States Champion.

Anyway, I thought the PPV was pretty fucking poor, except the last match. I've watched every one since MITB and this is easily the worst. The last match was good though, even if I didn't believe for a moment Punk wouldn't win (including when he was handcuffed). ADR looked good as ever. As an aside, following Orton's match, I'm pretty sure as he stood on the turnbuckle...well let's just say "crotchamania".

my bad I got them mixed up.

CROTCHAMANIA :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

^ the sad part is that I'm guessing timothy checked his work to make sure he spelled "INTERCONTINENTAL" correctly, but didn't think to check his facts. Shouldn't be too rough on him though, its the kind of mistake I'd make if I was excitedly rushing to be the first to comment on the results of the PPV.

Yeah, other than a possible teased heel turn from Daniel Bryan, it was a pretty subpar PPV. Which is apparently the norm this year for PPVs.

The one thing I noticed checking the results was that this was a Face heavy PPV. Meaning that the majority of the matches were won by faces. This probably explains why timothy thought this PPV was fantastic and the rest of us were left feeling "eh". Course, I did mark-out as much as the next guy when
Bryan won the WHC
.

Here's a clipy of an interview with CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Zack Ryder where the interviewer asks all the questions that we're dying to get answered.

So I just read that Nash thanked Paul for their match last night on twitter starting speculation he might retire. I have to ask...what the hell was the point then of introducing him by attacking Punk and starting the conspiracy angle? I'm convinced now that they've abandoned any plans they might have had to further this because of various things that have happened. I have continued to watch in hopes that SOMETHING might happen in this regard but aside from title changes every once in a while or the odd Cena hijinks NOTHING is going on that is worth watching right now. I know I've said I have stopped watching but I have pulled back considerably since the summer. I just might go on hiatus now. Meh.

CM Punk tweeted changed happened last night and he's proud of the roster. I love ya Punk but we'll see how long this "change" lasts for.

I disagree with Daniel Bryan winning the World Heavyweight Championship last night. I was always under the impression that WWE wouldn't go all the way with the "cashing in at Wrestlemania" storyline, but that isn't why I disagree with Bryan winning.

First of all, WWE strapped the Big Show which served no purpose other than to maybe give Show the distinction of being the only man to ever win the WCW, WWE, ECW and World Heavyweight Championships. Secondly, Big Show is a face and when a face cashes in against a face it usually leads to that face turning heel (CM Punk). If Bryan is indeed in the midst of a heel turn, we're talking a very short title reign indeed. Bryan's title reign could end as soon as tommorow at the Smackdown tapings, after all he cashed in against the Big Show and it's likely there will be a rematch. If I was booking I'd have Bryan defeat Big Show clean by submission in order to boost his credibility as champion, knowing WWE though they'll probably go with the fluke champion route that they did with CM Punk in 2008.

Of course, this could all be outdone by an impromtu match against Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Their booking decisions lately are the number one reason why I've been turned off by what is going on. Too safe. Too predictable (for the most part) and bad timing. Also yeah I have to admit that part of my disappointment has to be with no nWo but mostly just a failure to promote or further an interesting angle. I guess Vince and Steph feel right now there is no need to really do anything edgy or "ground breaking" or just flat out interesting. I can't be the only one who thinks things have mellowed out. Maybe things will "change" oooh there's that word again...next month when whoever the Control promo is promoting debuts but i doubt it.

What is putting me off the product is the countless holes in logic. Here are some examples of what I mean...

1) People still continue to go for dives in matches against Randy Orton, despite the fact he manages to hit an RKO out of nowhere every time! Furthermore, why do they turn around when they can clearly hear Orton pouding on the mat and getting ready to attempt the RKO!?

2) The Superplex spot ALWAYS ends up with both men being grounded and the attacker gaining no advantage. You would think that the track record of this move would be enough to ensure that wrestlers don't do it!

3) Why don't the "technical wrestlers" like CM Punk counteract ADR's working of the arm by working on his legs? If his legs are weakened then he cannot apply the Cross Armbar to it's full potential!

4) People continue to go for a Backdrop attempt when Triple H is rebounding off the ropes, despite the fact he always manages to hit his knee smash. This usually leads to a Spinebuster and the Pedigree. It's like they are throwing the match!

5) People continue to try and punch John Cena after he's hit his Shoulderblocks. He will ALWAYS hit the Protobomb if you do this and then follow it by going for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. With the length of time that the opponent is on the ground during this move, Cena would surely be able to get the win if he went for a pinfall!

6) The throwing out of the ring spot on Raw is always done when a commercial break is coming up. I don't know about anyone else but this ruins the suspension of disbelief for me because it's obvious that the referee has told them that they need to curb the momentum for the commercials.

7) Why don't heels throw matches more often? WWE seems to have only done this once by having Randy Orton throw several WWE Championship matches during 2007-2008 in a variety of ways.

8) Why do ALL heels have to play dirty? Surely there has to be at least one heel in the promotion at any given time who is super egotistical and plays fair in matches because he wants to be the best. They can reserve the dirty stuff for post-match beatdowns and insulting the crowd.

9) Why has WWE never attempted to explain the reason why John Cena allows his property to be held by other wrestler and controlled by the company? It was Cena who ordered the spinner belt following his WWE Championship win at Wrestlemania 21, therefore it's still technically his property.

10) Why do tag team matches all follow the exact same coreography? One wrestler takes the Ricky Morton role of being double teamed relentlessly by the heel team until he gets the hot tag.

Obviously wrestling is scripted and therefore it is bound to have tropes, but it would be nice to see some unpredictability in WWE. After all, they claim to be "more than just wrestling" so why can't they pioneer some newer concepts in matches like wrestlers learning from their mistakes and the mistakes of other wrestlers?

They're getting complacent in my opinion and it is beginning to effect to how they write, book, and execute angles and matches. Logic...yeah nothing has made much sense since July and Money in the Bank. They're starting to borderline TNA'ing stuff.

^is there a difference. :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Um yes...

Guerrero and Benoit were best friends who had spent their entire career trying to reach the top and when they finally did they couldn't hold back the emotion, despite the scripted nature of professional wrestling. When they were standing as world champions at Wrestlemania - it was just as important as say a boxer or fighter winning a legitimate word title.

On the other hand, both Daniel Bryan and CM Punk are in the prime of their careers and have made an impact relatively early in WWE. They are friends yes, but not to the level that Benoit and Guerrero were - they were pretty much family.

I was refering to the tna vs wcw bungling remark.

Weird, given the post you seemed to be referencing, it came off to me as an assine comment about either CM Punk or Bryan Danielson being responsible for a double-murder/suicide in a few years.

In that case were you watching WCW during the Vince Russo/Jeff Jarrett era?

Yeah, for was critical as I am about TNA/iMPACT, for me the level of incompetence doesn't hold a candle to the lack of logic in the writing or the complete idiocy in delivery that was WCW.

I mean... every episode of Nitro ended with Jarrett stealing the Honky Tonk Man's gimmick! Jeff never drew a dime for the company, yet Russo kept putting the belt on him. I never understood it.

I mean really, I want to work for a company as booker, so I can book myself as champion.

And while we shooting ourselves in the foot, why don't we hand Scott Steiner a live mic every week. That'll endear us to the network, censors, and the FCC.

well RAW should be good tonight.

great way to start raw off. also I find it funny that Daniel Bryan the guy who did'nt win the Nxt is now the WHC and wade barret is'nt..
