Neither is the thought of more Martz....or Smith for that matter. That fucker is so married to his shit cover-2 defense I wanna kill him too.

The NFL was attempting to flex the Broncos/ Patriots into the Sunday night slot next week, but CBS and Kraft got their knickers into a twist and somehow were able to prevent it. I'm extremely disappointed.... I was excited to see Denver in primetime one more time this season (even if we weren't going to win it). Denver has no other games left on the schedule that has any possibility of getting moved. CBS is upset that they were going to lose it, but they had a chance to protect 1 game each weekend, and they decided that they wanted to keep the Jets/ Eagles. 
Well, in CBS's defense, they protected that game way back in Week Five, and at that time nobody knew that Tebowmania was going to sweep the nation. Also, when NBC flexed the Saints/Lions game, they got stuck with the Patriots/Colts while Fox got the Vikings/Broncos game, and this week's Broncos game (against the Bears) is also going to be on Fox.

Honestly, Lovie is a pretty decent head coach. His biggest flaws are the same as Tony Dungy's: He won't publicly chastise a player, and he's loyal, to a fault, to his staff. Bob Babich shouldn't even have a job, and Mike Martz should have been put in his place ages ago. Lovie, however, operates under the principle that "our people do what they're paid to do, and I don't interfere," which is pretty inexcusable.
God, I wish Angelo and Smith hadn't gotten completely pantsed by Perry Fewell last offseason. That said, Marinelli is probably doing the best he can with such a shitshow secondary.
^ Even with Fewell, they can only work with the players Angelo & Smith get, and they get DB's that aren't very good for some reason.
They manage to get good DL's & LB's.
I mean, Tillman is good at stripping the ball, after the fact, but he gets torched more often than not in man-to-man cause he's just not that fast.
That's the problem with the cover-2, you're letting the pass get caught, then trying to catch & tackle. If your DB's aren't fast or are bad tacklers or are constantly out of position, it can get ugly.
