wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

@Timothy told ya Bryant would lose. Morrison is done with WWE...the website has video of a limo blowing up with him inside of it!!! What a random way of writing someone out of your company!

I'll admit that I thought that DB might actually get the victory. I was thinking this because there has been talking about turning Henry face - and this would surely dwindle his drawing power as a world champion.

I think it's a slim chance that Daniel Bryan will win the WHC without cashing in his briefcase. It looks like the Wrestlemania plan will go ahead, which is interesting because WWE has run two long term angles (the other being Cena/Rock) for this upcoming Wrestlemania. It's been a long time since they've done this, such a long time that I can't remember the last time a year long build happened for anything!

That's got to be the worst Smackdown ever, drawing with Raw's muppet shite for worst wrestling show ever. It's still November for Jesus' sake, but more to the point, it's meant to be a wrestling show. The only upsides were the Henry vs Bryan match and seeing Goldust (who should be the one to beat Henry, if he's ever fit to wrestle again).

This safe booking is what has been frustrating me. It is getting to the point where you can predict almost exactly what is going on and there haven't been any real surprises in...well months frankly.

Well, I was watching some of smackdown tonight and for some reason I continued watching after that "Hornswoggle" joke of a match. Seriously? This is the same company that produced such greats as Steve Austin, the Rock, NWO, Evolution, and even John Cena (As polarizing as he is) and they bring us Hornswoggle? When has this whole Schick ever been funny? I did enjoy the cage match at the end but I almost was a bit embarrassed watching that (And continuing to watch) tonight.

Nothing substantial. That's for sure.

The sad thing is how the booking in of itself has been more or less solid across the board. At least with me. It's been good to strong, and only occasionally has it dipped into mediocre or terrible.

But the lack of taking chances has been unfortunate. It's cut potential off at the knees on numerous occasions, and that may unfortunately be the legacy of 2011. It'll be remembered as a year that wasn't terrible overall, but still managed to lack a certain spark or energy.

RAW on Monday is a great example. Good show? Sure. Extraordinary? Not so fast.

Piper fucking brought it though. No shock there.

thought smackdow was pretty good I am so glad that Hornswoggle can talk now I got tired of the grunting it got old quick. I hope daniel cashes it in tlc it would be awesome.

I'm curious as to why Hornswaggle is still employed. I actually enjoyed the finally talking segment but he doesn't wrestle or whatever and is only used for comedic spots. I guess that is enough for Vince to justify keeping him around?

Yeah, it's pretty much down to his comic appeal. That and the fact that he's a dwarf - it's all about diversity and he's a guy that's living his dream, even if it revolves around his size. I don't like the character, but I think it's great that Hornswoggle has reached the pinnacle of the wrestling business.

Now that they've given him a kayfabe reason (yeah it sucked, but it's done now!) for him talking, I hope that they'll use this as an opportunity to put him into some more serious roles. I've said before that a Hornswoggle heel turn could be a huge success, particulary if he were to align himself with a super heel in the manager role. They could even portray Hornswoggle as the brains of an operation, completely taking away the comedy element of his character.

To change the subject a bit...I kind of hope Dustin Rhodes gets his pitch granted for a match against Cody. I think it'd be great. A Heel Golddust versus a face Cody Rhodes? Unless of course they have bigger plans for Cody by that time...hell I'm becoming a Cody mark now!

Yeah, I think that match needs to happen because Goldust is nearing retirement and it's a great way to not only give Cody a massive rub (Dustin Rhodes is actually quite an accomplished wrestler), but it could also be an awesome programme if WWE invests some time and effort into it.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Goldust playing the face and Cody as the heel because Cody is brilliant in the heel role. Goldust, on the other hand is effective in either depending on how far WWE is willing to let the character go - remember that the Goldust character was originally a crazed movie star with some questionable sexual practises. It caused a rift between Dusty and Dustin because of how controversial the character was and how Dusty felt that it didn't belong in wrestling.

The character's recent runs have been less edgy and more focused on the "bizarre" aspect rather than the twisted sexual obsessions with the likes of Ahmed Johnson!

Yeah I miss the edgier Goldust. He's kind of become a lesser caricature of himself now. I only say face Cody because of the reported pops his been getting since he got the faceplate off (thank you Randy Orton you did something useful for the first time in forever ;) ) but yeah a heel Cody could just as easily be interesting. Now if only they started getting Ted in the right direction. I don't know why they don't just flat out make him the Million Dollar Man II. I know he's started playing the role a little and with flashes and that maybe he doesn't want to tramp on his father's legacy but BOY OH BOY would people mark out for that.

Kevin Nash worked a house show in Japan, he teamed with Dolph Ziggler against The Big Show and Zach Ryder. I guess he has been working then outside of cutting the odd irrelevant promo on Raw and filming a movie. The Lita returning rumours are still out there as well. It is rather interesting WWE is bringing back all of these Attitude Era stars now. I don't know if it's making much difference to be honest. To me managing to have signed Sting back in Feb would have been the biggest thing that Vince could have done to increase interest and ratings. Still obviously really disappointed that didn't happen. Instead of having a huge Wrestlemania dream match against the Undertaker...we get Joker Sting :(

Heel turn? It's fucking Hornswoggle.

Me too. I've been digging Cody for a while now, and it's good to see him really picking up the ball.

And an edgier, heel Goldust in a program against a face Cody? Jesus, that could steal a PPV.

I am just hoping they keep Golddust around for awhile and have a fued with cody would be awesome for the intercontinel championship.

I'd just be happy with a singles match. No title on the line You guys should watch this. It's a show called The Project where these two guys track down heroes from their childhood and chat with them...this week's episode was with Warrior.

That should be interesting, Warrior is a particulary opinionated man with pretty conservative views. Some of the stuff he has said or posted on his blog has attracted a lot of negative attention.
