If this show goes on long enough, I'd like to see some non-Western mythology woven into the story, too. Eventually they're going to have to start broadening the material...
According to the story I read about Belle's introduction, they're also going to bring in the Disney created character Gaston. So I guess this actually is based more on the Disney versions of the story than I originally thought.Heard that Belle is going to show up at some point too, so I guess that means there will be a Beast as well.
Man, I'm really going to have to start boning up on my Disney movies if this keeps up. lol

Jennifer Morrison's character, the kid, as well as the princess/teacher are all so bland, while Mr. Gold and the evil queen are interesting.
It's kind of a problem when your villains are so much more interesting, better characters than your heroes. It doesn't have to be that way.
And everyone is actually a fairytale character, all over the world?Or will the writers try to suggest the fairytale world is the REAL one, and ours is the fake?Heh heh, I like that.
I dibs Rapunzel from Tangled!!!![]()
Thought this latest episode was terrific. The Cinderella story was well handled (although they definitely could have found a cuter actress), and Rumpelstiltskin was fun as hell to watch too. Especially loved seeing him blow up the fairy god mother. lol
And I got my answer as to whether they can leave the town or not. Looks like strange accidents befall them anytime they get close to the edge.
I don't find them bland at all. Morrison has a nicely sarcastic edge to her (which really makes her stand out in a town like that), and Goodwin's Snow White/teacher seems pretty rich and interesting as well.
I like the way they're painting her: On the surface one-dimensionally eveil, but plenty of depth, and I definitely want to know what Snow did to her to start all this off. It would be kinda nice if whatever it was was done to deliberately hurt the Queen. She is a bit one-dimensionally evil at the moment, but I expect she'll become more complex as the show goes on.

good episode this week. now have we seen pinochio yet?
ABC’s Once Upon A Time continued its impressive freshman run last night, posting a 3.8/9 in adults 18-49. That was up a tenth from the fairytale drama’s fast national the previous week (flat with the national) and the highest demo mark for any non-sports program last night. Even more impressive, Once Upon A Time accomplished that with the lowest-rated Sunday broadcast program as its lead-in, America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.7/4, up 13% from its most recent episode three weeks ago).
I love it. I bought the brother's grimm on my nook and have started reading fabels on comixology.
