What no Arkham City Thread?

Well I'm not going to drive myself crazy over the hard trophies or the 3rd hostage. There's plenty to do and have fun with and if I don't get a trophy here and there, then so be it. Games are supposed to be fun, not annoying.

Ironically early on I was kind of annoyed with the hand-to-hand combat but lately it's grown on me more and I've found myself becoming somewhat of a bully, running around starting fights. Poor guys, walking along minding their own business, and I swoop down on them and proceed kick their ass.

Have you noticed how charging headfirst at enemies with guns isn't suicide anymore when you have all the ballistic armor upgrades.

Indeed. I completely upgraded the ballistic armor first thing. I really don't even pay any attention to guns any more. But I am playing on easy too.

As for the remote control batarang trophies, I wish Rocksteady had them shoved up their collective asses

I've been playing Arkham Island for the last week or so, really enjoy it and will move on to Arkham City when I'm done with Island.

From the sounds of things City's scope is pretty broad, it'd be interesting to see if the next game broadens things even more to include all of (or most of) Gotham and allows you to drive the Batmobile or the Batplane. I'm thinking something on the order of GTA.

Anyone know how to review Riddler's riddles? They flash by really quickly before I can read them sometimes and I don't know how to see them again.

Answering my own question, it can be found in the map menu screen marked with "?". I still don't know why they flash onscreen for such a short time.

If it's the one I'm thinking of based on what you've described, you can't. It's locked. I assume you're trying to get over that electric fence to get to a trophy just sitting out in the open.

From the door of the Iceberg Lounge as your facing away from the door, look to your left and you will see kind of stone tower thing. You have glide from the top of that tower under the bridge and over the electric fence.

Anyone know how to review Riddler's riddles? They flash by really quickly before I can read them sometimes and I don't know how to see them again.

Well you can hit select and hit R1 to get to the ? symbol for the Riddler's challenge section and for each section of the city you can hear the riddle but that doesn't tell you where they are.

What I'm doing is going around and finding the "green thugs" and having the Riddler secrets added to my map. You beat up all the other thugs around the green thugs and make sure to save them for last without knocking them out. Then it gives you the option to "interrogate" the thug (which results in Batman usually saying something like "Do you know how many bones you have left that I can break?" and then the thug gives it up and they're added to your map. I've accidentally knocked two or three of them out without getting the secrets but there are literally dozens of them scattered around the city and the secrets they give up are not necessarily for the part of the city you're in at the time.

Not sure, but I figure we have to go to the basesment of the Solomon Wayne courthouse, where Calendar Man is locked up, to kick off the mission..don't know for sure though.

Unless I miscounted, I didn't find the 3rd hostage to be that bad at all. Took some time to work out what I needed to do, but mechanically it wasn't that hard. Unlike the "batarang through an airduct" trophies where the batarang controls like a flying brick. So far I've encountered two trophies that I know I won't get because of that, but I figure there will be others.

Just started playing the game myself. To my surprise, I'm finding that I find the Catwoman sections to be MUCH more fun.

I had a hard time getting the timing down in changing magnets to fire upon to solve the puzzle.
In regards to the batarang, have you tried turning off the inverted batarang control. That made it a lot easier to control. With enough practice, I can easily soar through air ducts and other hard to get to areas to retrieve trophies.
