A question about Leeta

I know Leeta's full name was never revealed on the actual DS9 show. I also know that in Treklit, she's an orphan and does not know who her family is. My question is, have any novels involved Leeta searching for her family? I know she doesn't know who they were, but does she want to? Or does she figure that they probably died in the Occupation and thus doesn't see a point in looking?

Also, did she choose the name 'Leeta' for herself, and if so, did she name herself after the Bajoran unit of currency which is also called by that name? Makes sense, she is a Dabo girl after all.

I assumed - and it's just that, an assumption on my part - that the household she grew up in named her. She's their "lucky lita", though with a trendy spelling.
