3 Weird Alien Planets Found Around Sun-Like Star

The title comes straight from the yahoo news story.

One super-Earth & 2 Neptune class planets have been found orbiting Kepler-18, a star fairly similar to our own.

They think the 2 Neptune class planets are "interacting" with each other. I guess this is the weird part.

Kepler only looks at a small patch of the sky in the vicinity of Lyra, Cygnus, and Draco. So far it's found more than 1200 planet candidates. Just imagine how many we might have found if we had space telescopes covering much more of the sky. In addition, Kepler only detects occultations of stars by planets if their orbital plane is edge on relative to us. That's going to lead to only a small proportion of planetary systems in the field of view being discovered, and naturally favours the discovery of systems where the planets orbits are closer to their parent star.
