The emphasis of Kevin's daydream is that girls are an unfathomable mystery, strange, "alien"...much like the Eyemorgs in SB. The production did not focus on the "restraint" aspect depicted in the original Trek episode. In fact, I don't think they had the boys wearing the pain belts. Winny as the Eyemorg pressed a button upon her bracelet, we heard the famous warbling "bong" sound effect, and Kevin and the rest crumbled to the floor as though punched in their guts. Young actor Savage must have studied the original scenes because he did a fair job spoofing Shatner's mannerisms including the way Shatner collapsed in the original scene. Oh, Kevin's nerdy friend was depicted as Spock, obviously, but not as the brainless zombie from SB, thus he had the opportunity to spout off some Vulcan inflected observations. The makeup department did a pretty good job with his hair and ear tips.
Sincerely,
Bill
