My dad and best friend are republicans

^ So you dislike when atheists tell you that religion is silly superstition, but at the same time you single out every single atheist as militant and pushy, and enjoy telling them that being an atheist is naive and just due to inexperience.

Are you sure you are thinking this thoroughly?

Yeah! Is there a problem with that? And I will overlook your condescending tone!

Wow...

You got a problem with that?

People that has gone through hell...they all turn to religions. Take it from them... They speak from experience.

They all turn to religions ? That's of course wrong. Everyone with experience know that.

And I can tell you that right now that you are wrong from personal experience.

That makes no sense, obviously. There are many people, myself included, who did not turn to religion during troubling times in their life. So, you're wrong; not everyone turns to religion when the shit hits the fan. To say otherwise to be willfully obstinate.

I'm sorry, but that's not true. Many people's beliefs are destroyed by awful experiences that make clear to them the indifference of the universe to human suffering. Of course, these people don't get their stories retold by the kind of smug propagandists who make their livings by "inspiring" people. You ought to do more investigation before making generalizations that don't stand up to any examination at all.

And just because I believe in God that doesn't diminish my IQ, or change who I am.
I have no idea what your IQ is; I know that the kind of assertion you made is not well thought-out.

I like to know how much money you make in a year? [chuckle]

Most of my friends are hard working people and their family are self-made millionaire... Pssst!

Oh, yeah! That was original! [chuckle]

Yes, it does! And it doesn't make me incapable of thinking for myself. That's just ridiculous!

I have absolutely no clue what your point is about anything you've written on the last couple pages, you are not very coherent.

I can't understand a thing you're trying to say! I don't think the problem is me!

Yeah, the problem is you. First you said that believing in God doesn't change who you are. Then Roger said he thought it was supposed to change people, make them more moral and such. Then you agreed with this. So, what is it?

I'm not sure what you're getting at. What I mean is it makes people a better person by be more compassionate and so you're less likely to be prejudice and bias towards other people...and so be able to see the truth. It's like the candle light on the wall story.
