Well, it's from my home computer, which I mostly use for entertainment purposes. If it was a work computer, then I would definitely get no work done.
^ That's a really cool pic, CaptMurdock. Is it from anything in particular, or just someone's art? I've had this up for a while now: They are characters from a story of mine, drawn by an artistically talented friend. So mostly the same things everyone here uses their computers for.
Thanks! Hm, other good stuff at that site too... might have to sign up there, I'm always looking for new sources of nice wallpaper.
Not just art. That was a depiction of the Tektite undersea habitat and laboratory, from about 40 years ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tektite_habitat I think that illustration may have appeared in National Geographic magazine at around that time. Ha, found it: http://www.nationalgeographicstock.com/ngsimages/explore/explorecomp.jsf?xsys=SE&id=619783
Wow! Seconded; nice job, M'Sharak! New desktop! Been in a sci-fi writing mode lately, so I switched to something more appropriate for that kind of setting: Yes, I do move my desktop icons around every time I change the picture so that they get in the way of the image as little as possible. I am that OCD about it.
I move my icons around to in an ocd manner. I just get rid of them. I have keep my desktop empty--sometimes completely. Also, I cannot tell which is more scifi-ish, your AV (Sukhoi Berkut?) or the wallpaper.
There's an app for that - it's called iconoid, let's you choose where on the screen the icons are (top, bottom, left or right) and hides them completely. I've been using it for years
