A few that I can list would be

1Already mentioned in this other thread but i'm liberal and my dad and best friend are republicans

2Hate onions but love onion rings

3 like corn on the cob but not regular corn.

4Loves Zooey Doesenel but not her sister from "Bones."

I often like things that are peach-flavored but hate peaches.

(Though the peach cobbler at Chicago's Lou Malnati's is amazing despite the peaches.)

Love bananas and HATE anything banana flavored (even if it's real banana such as banana strawberry yogurt)...

Same thing with cherries.. LOVE them, but anything cherry flavored just tastes like cough syrup to me..

On a more serious note, I'm pro-life and anti-death penalty, which with my political leanings, is rare...

Love peanut butter. Hate peanut butter cookies and candy (peanut butter is not meant to be SWEET.)

Pro-choice AND pro-death penalty.

What do you mean by regular corn?

I like tomatoes but do not like ketchup.

Similar; I eat tomato sauce all the time, with a variety of foods, but I can't stomach actual non-squashed tomatoes.

I suppose there's also the fact that throughout school, etc, as well as at home, I was always ridiculously well-behaved and rule-abiding, yet I've never actually had any real investment in or attachment to rules. I'm pretty much an anarchist by nature, but looking in at my behaviour you might think I followed rules religiously. It's sort of the same with my speech and manners when meeting people in person - I tend to be rather formal and structured, but my need for hierarchies or clearly defined manners is almost non-existant.

Let's see...my sense of humour can be very dark and "twisted", yet my actual tolerance for fear or distress to others is incredibly low. I'll laugh at, and find genuine humour in, things to which most people say "you can't laugh at that!", yet despite this I'll get very uncomfortable long before most people if the content of the "humour" crosses over into reality.

I love animals - always have - yet often display a wariness or even fear of them where most people would be entirely comfortable.

I feel both restless and angry almost all the time, yet somehow also at peace in a way I don't think many people are.

I suppose the big one: I'm deeply devoted to civilization and human society, but I also consider myself to have ideologically "parted ways" with them, and want them completely restructured in a way that, as a good friend of mine notes, goes "far beyond any radical politics". I'm both forever homeless and yet comfortably roosted. I don't consider myself to "belong" but simultaneously could never feel I didn't.

Nothing here is contradictory. You're allowed to be friends with people unlike yourself.

I have wildly irregular eating and sleeping habits. But I'm obsessive-compulsive about keeping my computer files organized. Every file has to be precisely in its proper folder, subfolder, and sub-subfolder.

What do you mean by regular corn?
I assume he means corn off the cob, i.e., canned or frozen.

Pro-choice AND pro-death penalty.
Same here. I'm also pro-assisted suicide, as well as pro-unassisted suicide. In other words, I'm in favor of anything that gets the freeways moving faster.

I like tomatoes but do not like ketchup.

I like ketchup and cooked tomatoes, do not like raw tomatoes.

Kinda the opposite. I used to only eat raw tomatoes, but I've recently come to appreciate somewhat-cooked cherry tomatoes as well. Not cooked to the point of collapse, mind; just enough that the juices run hot.

I'm opposite from that, too. For whatever reason, I don't like cooked tomatoes, but like fresh tomatoes (though not cherry or plum tomatoes) and cooked and uncooked tomato sauces (ketchup, pizza sauce, pasta sauce, etc.).

I cannot eat coconut, but love pina coladas.

I'm deeply religious but also pretty liberal.

I like to be kind (as in, I get actual enjoyment out of philanthropy and service), but I am probably one of the most sarcastic people you will ever meet.
