C-3PO vs. Data

Data easily. He's a jack of all trades, C-3PO has a very specific purpose as a protocol droid.

Go for Data any day, fully mobile in any situation, eventually had a good sense of humour and has a crazy brother. What more could you want?

Isn't it strange how stereotypes are enthusiastically embraced where fictional characters are concerned?

Except I don't even see the stereotypes here...but yes, I'd imagine such comments would be offensive to the apparently large gay community here on this BBS.

With 3PO, there are somewhat "effeminate" mannerisms. With Data, I have no idea. He sang an Irving Berlin tune once? He didn't have a girlfriend for a few years?
I think Tgirl was just being light about it, but it does seem that stereotypes that would otherwise be abhorrent are encouraged with fictional characters.

This thread has made me wonder if Soong installed a Fleshjack in the appropriate area on Data.

How are they gay?
Are you kidding? Get them both feather boas.
