January Jones gives birth to baby boy, but who is the daddy?

She's a dumb blond with a bastard kid.

Who is the father?

Not exactly the most shocking thing in Hollywood. At least she can afford to raise him.
Then what's the problem?

And she truly is dumb.
What are her high school test scores?

That was presented to the world in all its grandeur when she made the mistake of agreeing to host Saturday Night Live. The fact that her idea of acting is to walk around with a distant, ditzy look in her eye -- a look she maintains even in interviews and publicity shots -- only proves to make it more obvious.
Opinion does not make reasonable substitution for fact.
I'm sure you have mountains of evidence you're just ready to reveal, correct?

I always find it hilariously funny when people post "don't care", well why post then? If the situation is of no interest to you then keep walking

I explained that quite clearly. I don't care about knowing who the father of her baby is, but was baffled by the OP's entitled attitude that Jones seemingly owed the public an explanation about it. I don't care about the one thing because it's a personal matter for her to decide to keep to herself or publicize, but I do care enough to comment about the other, as is to be expected here on a message board when you start a thread.

Explain to us all what this means and why it is important.
I just mentioned it because that's what the thread is about? A person who doesn't know who their father is or who is born to an unwed mother is a bastard. It's what the word, you know, means. As in the actual definition of the word. As in why it is sometimes used as a profanity about a person, even though the word itself isn't one.

God forbid someone bring up what the thread is about.

Exactly.

Who said there was a problem. Just stating another, you know, obvious statement in a thread revolving around the topic.

And she truly is dumb.

No idea, which makes me ignorant. But she is quite dumb. You should probably look that word up, too, since apparently lots of people in this thread have no idea what words actually mean. Hint: As a public figure, she had a child without a parent.

And people on a Star Trek message forum aren't supposed to voice opinions, regardless? I had no idea that was one of the rules.

You don't explain why it's important to use such a wholly unpleasant expression for a child who YOU don't know the father of. By that definition every person you meet is a bastard until you've been introduced to their father. Unwed? UNWED? What century are you from? Nobody uses either of those terms in the 21st century apart, it seems, from one throwback.

Don't hint in your strange passive aggressive manner, just tell us why the bold bit of your statement is connected to being 'quite dumb'.

Hmm. You know what, my dog is a bitch, too.

Feel free to yell at me for using yet another word properly and the way it's meant to be used.

Don't hint - tell us what this is connected to being 'quite dumb'.
Dumb means lacking intelligence or good judgement. If you can't figure it out from there, the term fits you as well.

I have 4 bitches. You know what? That word is still used by living people.

I can hear a cop coming.

I didn't realize I said it was illegal. Do you suffer from a learning disability or something? That would explain a lot.

So a woman who wants to be a mother even without being married is automatically stupid?

I said dumb, not stupid. Those are, astonishingly enough, two different words. I'm not entirely sure why you guys are having so much trouble with that concept...

But to answer what you were trying to ask, yes and no. No, it's not dumb to want that. Yes, being a public figure and bringing those facts up about your child is a very dumb thing to do. If it's not corrected, her child is likely going to have a rough time in school and even later in life, especially growing up in the limelight where every little fact will be gnawed upon by the media and blown way out of proportion.

Actually unless you mean dumb as in mute, the word in fact is synonymous with stupid in reference to a person's intelligence.

Yeah, I'm sure growing up in (California? Dakota? Guam?) the child is going to be really stigmatized by having (potentially) unmarried parents. That's practically unheard of!

I don't care about her or her kid.

However, on a more general note, I find it strange when some posters get so...personally offended...that someone else does care.

This is a TV/Media message board. It has threads about celebrities. Why would anyone get perturbed when a poster wants to talk about a celebrity?

Posters here talk about celebrities' personal business all the time, from Tom Cruise's religion to whether Christina Hendricks smokes.

Again, it's not something I particularly care about but I don't think the OP deserved to get jumped upon.

By the same token, I find it strange when people assume that others are "personally offended" just because they ask "who cares?" It doesn't offend me, I just don't understand it.

You didn't just ask "who cares." You insulted the OP by calling him "tacky" and accusing him of a sense of entitlement:

It's no one's business except hers and the fathers, she's perfectly capable of affording to raise the child on her own if that's her choice, and speculating about people cheating on their spouses with little or no evidence is rather tacky.

It's just kind of a weird thing to care about. It's like you're treating it like it's a scandal, as if we're still stuck in the Fifties or something.

There's any number of reasons she may want to keep it private and none that justify the sense of entitlement....

Now, perhaps, you didn't intend for your statements to convey a sense that you were offended but, at least to me, they come off that way.

And you're not the only poster who jumped on OP.

Again, it's a message board about show business. What's so horrible about discussing a celebrity?
