Not entirely odd, since TAS was produced two decades before DS9.

Apparently StarTrek.com is still streaming TAS as well, at least for the moment. But the Netflix streams are probably higher-quality.

yes I'm aware of the chronological order of when the two series came out. I was referring to the relative demand by Trek fans for the two series to come to Netflix. Not to knock TAS, but I think DS9 is regarded a little more highly.

I don't think popularity has anything to do with it. Pretty sure someone holds exclusive rights to DS9 thru September 31st.
