Of course Anakin becomes Vader by increments. The films always talked about the "path to the Dark Side" ... not the "transporter beam to the Dark Side."

"In the first two episodes of this three-part story arc, the inhabitants of the watery world of Mon Calamari find themselves on the brink of a civil war. The Jedi soon realize they will need the help of a powerful and amphibious ally to stop the war and drive out the Separatist invaders."

Why didn't the Jedi buy Shmi's freedom?I always thought being angry that the Jedi didn't free his mother and what happened as a result would have been a major reason why Anakin turned to the dark side.
But he never said anything about it all, which came off as odd.

But not as many increments.

"I like the color blue. I like different shades of blue. I just don't like how many shades of blue there are in the paint samples."
Yes, when confronted with the obvious, a nonsensical argument is always the best response. Because, obviously, comparing the events of a TV show set between films is absolutely the equivalent of comparing the events of just films by themselves."I like the color Luke. I like different shades of Luke. I just don't think there were enough incremental dark side moves for Luke in ROTJ. More is always better.""I like the color blue. I like different shades of blue. I just don't like how many shades of blue there are in the paint samples."
