Dominion War strike group

Listen up folks, You are a Top Starfleet Admiral. You have to prepare a secret strike group for a secret mission to destroy a highly valuable Dominion target.

you have up to 10 ships at your disposal, the Klingons and Romulans have made their ships available to you.

You need to choose 10 ships that you feel is best suited for the mission.

It's a long range mission, an incursion into Dominion held space to destroy a Jem'Hadar ship production facility, intelligence reveals Dominion battleships may operate in the area but the installation is in a remote area and not believed to be heavily defended otherwise.

for operational reasons the following ships are in short supply:

Galaxy class
Sovereign class
Prometheus class
Negh'Var class
Valdore class

Only two of each of the above are available.

p.s. Dominion intelligence is constantly monitoring Starfleet, Romulan and Klingon activity. You may wish to choose ships that would keep a lower profile. But that is up to you.

I'll start this off.

1 Nebula class

Basically I've gone for a balance of Power, flexibility and understatedness. Best to avoid filling the group with a pile of Sovvy's, Galaxies and Negh'vars etc.

By Valdore, I'm guessing you mean the Romulan warbirds from Nemesis, were they even in service during the war?

I wouldn't take any Starfleet ships, apart from the USS Defiant, because they don't have cloaking devices. If I couldn't get the Defiant I'd go for all Klingon or all Romulan vessels. Keeping it to one group will limit culture clash and heighten efficiency as they would be trained to work together, where as a mix group might not be able to best utilise their forces as they might not fully understand the strengths and weaknesses of specific ships and how to most effectively utilise them.

Even if I could get the Defiant I might only add Klingon ships as Sisko has worked with the Klingons in the past (I'd put him in command save someone like Martok taking part).

Considering it's supposed to be a "secret" mission deep behind enemy lines only ships with cloaking should be used, otherwise the fleet would be detected as soon as they crossed into Dominion space. Also the Valdore class starship was active in 2379 but the Dominion War was from 2373-2375.

I'd put Sisko in charge of the fleet with the Defiant.

I agree on the tranphasic cloak. Screw the treaty of Algeron.

My fleet would consist of Federation starships equip with the transphasic cloaking device for these type of Federation starships:

2 Defiant class
3 Sovereign class
3 Prometheus class

Klingons
2 Vor'cha-class

Armed with the latest weapons that the Federation and the Klingons can arm them with.

Task Force Alpha

1 Galaxy Class(Venture Refit)

Task Force Omega:
USS Defiant
1 Negh'Var Class
2 Vor'Cha Class
1 D'deridex class


Task Force Omega would assemble under cloak and leave X amount of time before Task Force Alpha, taking a circuitous route, while Task Alpha would leave at literally the last possible moment, taking the fastest possible route at Maximum Attainable Velocity to make a frontal assault feint, when the Enemy Fleet engages, throw everything you can at em, break formation and run like hell while the Omega group slips in from behind and blows the hell out of the enemy drydocks....

Grab em by the nose, and kick em in the ass.........

All ships outfitted for the mission with cloaks. Also both Akira's would carry an assault unit comprised of Klingon ground troops and federation and romulian intelligence techs to "sweep" the facility for intel before taking it out.
