wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

that kinda sucks that they can't compete. gail is still one of my favorite diva/knock out and it was a damn shame she has'nt gotten a shot at the new diva title.

To be fair, the Divas Championship means pretty much nothing. Not only is it a title contested for by a division that WWE severley underpromotes, it is also a relatively new championship established purely to have a division on each brand. When this didn't work they unified it with the WWE Womens Championship. This resulted in the Womens Championship (which has an extensive history and level of prestige) being retired in favour of the Divas Championship.

Gail Kim held the Womens Championship back in 2003, during her first run with the WWE. She has done all that is worth doing as a female competitor in the current WWE.

Those are the only four matches announced as of now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Dolph Ziggler defend the U.S. Title against Alex Riley. I am also expecting to see an announcement on Smackdown regarding a Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett match and/or an Intercontinental Title defense from Ezekiel Jackson against Cody Rhodes.

Have any of you ever recieved criticism for your interest in professional wrestling? I have had a bit here and there, but nothing too serious. I know that the first thought is usually "wrestling is gay". Funnily enough I don't think I actually know any gay men who like wrestling, which stops that argument in its tracks! The other stuff is more along the lines of "yeah but wrestling is fake". I used to spend time explaining the very real injuries these performers incur and talk about the entertainment aspect of it, but now I just tend to let it go because unless you like it, then you cannot understand what its all about.

What about the rest of you?
 
My friends tease me and give me the usual "wrestling is fake" and a "Male soap opera" (both things are true for the most part) and don't really allow me a chance to explain things. They're pretty respectful of my passion for Pro Wrestling for the most part. They don't really know anyone lol.
 
I all ways have a hard time talking to people on things I like Or try to start a conversation dealing with wrestling or even sci fi or fantasy. I really don't have a social group to talk wrestling with anyone. so this is it for me. I all ways liked wrestling all ways will.
 
I really don't like it being called "fake" cause it evokes that those men and women never actually get hurt. It is planned out and there are a ton of theatrics but alot of what goes on in the ring is far from "fake" and if done wrong can result in serious injury.

Either way I don't care what people think of what I watch or enjoy listening to.

It's possible that The Miz will be booked on the day of the card, but there isn't really anything for him to do on Summer Slam because of the way he has been handled as of late.

I think Beth could take the Divas title from Kelly Kelly this weekend. It's time for another big push for the Glamazon!!!

I wasn't really gonna comment on Summer Slam until Friday.
 
I could see a Rey/Kingston Vs Miz/ADR booked for Summer Slam...they seem to have R-Truth & Morrison tied together now.

[edit] Then again they could keep Rey out of action until the next RAW. Not having any of the 4 guys mentioned Rey, Kingston, Miz, ADR involved at SS would be a shame.

^ You keep thinking about that for the Rock but again Jetfire pointed out weeks ago that the Rock himself hinted he would be returning at Survivor Series this year which makes more sense than Summer Slam.
 
what is the big deal about survivor series? It's not really one of there biggest PPV's is it? I mean summerslam Is like a second wrestlemania right?
 
Survivor Series this year is taking place at Madison Square Garden, also happens to be the place where the Rock debuted and where he was gonna punch Cena in the face for bad mouthing him in Australia earlier.

I don't know if you've been paying attention or not timothy but we've speculated that a lot of the current story lines going on right now are going to culminate at SS. It is still a pretty big PPV and should be a heavily booked card.
 
Survivor Series is traditionally known as one of the "big four". The big four being Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Survivor Series. In recent years the hype for Survivor Series has somewhat diminished and WWE was thinking about eliminating the PPV from their schedule altogether. Just to illustrate the comparison of PPVs from 5 years ago and from this year's schedule.

As you can tell, the selling point for B-rated PPV's has changed from being simple "B-rated" PPV's to gimmick shows.
 
There really is no point in doing more than 12 PPVs a year...and they should fall between the 2nd or 3rd Sunday in each month...but that is just me. :lol:

It appears Hell In A Cell & Vengeance are both in Oct. There is no PPV in March with Wrestlemania April 1st. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WWE_pay-per-view_events

I am guessing there will be another PPV later in April but nothing is listed as of yet.
 
I all ways liked armageddon it's the best way to end a year. all I wondered why the wwe never use's any of the wcw ppv's or even ecw ppv's which were pretty awesome.
 
I too think WWE should stick to one PPV a month, I've talked to fans who are annoyed by the second PPV. There really isn't a need for it but I totally get the business behind the move.

I think WWE did use some of the WCW PPV's. I remember they used Great American Bash for a few years in the early 2000's. I actually wouldn't mind seeing a WWE Starcade for old times sake :) Vince probably hated the names for a lot of their PPV's lol.
