Mine's taken from my puppet kangaroo. I was pretty young when I named her, but I imagine the name originated from the fact that she was a puppet.

Unfortunately, mimic was prematurely taken from this world when the maid discarded her while changing the sheets in a hotel room.

My original username, RyanKCR, goes way back. When I was on Juno free email I used a variation of my name for the email. I had a computer change and had to reset it up and forgot the pw so I created a new username. At the time I was writing a sci-fi story and the main character was Ryan and the KCR is the name of the planetary republic I had in it. I'm currently reworking the story and I'm part of a writers group that will critique it from time to time. I still use RyanKCR most everywhere else.

Snoopy comes from the fact that I love Peanuts, especially Snoopy. Also I have some great avatars for the holiday name changes.

When I first found the internet in the early 90s I wanted something Trek related, but not obvious. I remembered 'A Taste of Armageddon,' which talked about the planets Vendicar and Eminar VII. I just changed the 'c' to a 'k,' added an extra 'r' and made the name my own.

Curiously enough I now see the planet referenced with a 'k' instead of a 'c' and my extra 'r' sometimes.

It's like I renamed a planet.

That's one of my favourite Data moments and I don't like many of his.
