I knew a pony once. I met her when visiting my great uncle Godfather Bedscene. Poor thing.
 
I watched an episode. I'm more convinced than ever that the creators drop acid. We need more of that.
 
I watched half an episode but the american cuteness voices killed me.

Someone suggest one of the good episodes to watch please (I watched half of the first one).
 
Heh, if you don't like the cuteness then you may as well not bother. The voices don't get any less cutesy so far as I've seen. ;)
 
I still want to see one of these dark episodes people mention.

The mental breakdowns are part of otherwise cutesy episodes. It'll be more efficent to give you excerpts:

The episode with the darkest subtext is probably "Party of One," which is where Pinkie Pie comes totally unhinged.

I'm convinced that it was inspired by an episode of Ren & Stimpy when Ren becomes a hermit. His loneliness drives him mad and inanimate objects begin talking to him.
