First looks at Jason Momoa as Conan...

I like those pictures mostly. They don't blow me away but they look alright. I can kind of see what people are saying about the compositing, but I really don't mind.

He looks pretty good. Perlman is the man. Rachel Nichols is always good, too.

And Jason Momoa was pretty great at playing a savage barbarian chieftain in Game of Thrones. There's no doubt in my mind after seeing that that he could make a great Conan, wheether he will is another story.

Really hope this doesn't suck.

This one's pretty much my last hope for the summer. If Conan gets panned too I won't have seen a single summer blockbuster this year.

Before GOT, I sort of wrote Mamoa off as being just a generic bland tv actor. But, as you say, he was great in GOT. I think he'll kick Arnie's ass as Conan.

If the movie is cool it'll be fun to meet him and talk sequels at NYC Comic Con. He needs to be at San Diego to do some promotional push there for the film.

Am I the only one who'd like a Mod to change the title on the front page to say something like: Conan: Jason Mamoa film news till release
Since this thread has become the defacto one for info on the movie. A title change was done for GL sometime back.
