Sticks and stones may break my bones, but Godzilla will never hurt my Saviour. I mean, Godzilla isn't even real.

Well, I don't see how one can not care about a potential reason of their existence and the existence of reality as we know it.

Well, I exist because my parents reproduced.

As for reality--meh. There are too many possibilities to care about them all, and no good reason to care about any one more than the other.

I don't see why you would care about a god that doesn't appear to care about you.

I also care about singularities, but I doubt they care about me.

Ok, granted, not an especially good point from me. Of course as a scientific question there's some merit to asking if there are gods, but scientifically the question is already settled as "there's no evidence in support of the god theory" as Richard Dawkins would say I suppose. If new evidence appears, maybe I change my mind, until then: meh.

There is no reason to believe in god, but I see no reason why you wouldn't care at all about the actual question. That was my point.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying, but I don't understand why you don't understand. The god-theory bores the shit out of me. Just like the ghost-theory, the unicorn-theory or discussions about the colour of warp nacelles on imaginary space ships.

I think everybody got your point. Some people just genuinely don't care because it makes no difference to their lives.

Edit: Yeah, what Roger Wilco said. I'm too slow.

Apparently not everyone. The ghost-theory and the unicorn-theory aren't about such fundamental questions. The discussions about god may well bore you, but that doesn't mean you actually don't care about the existence of god.

Also, I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about the person who said "I'm an Evangelical Apathetic Agnostic: I don't know, and I don't care, and I feel pretty strongly that no one else should claim to know or really care, either."

I feel nothing but respect for Mr. Invisible Pink Unicorn, and he knows it. Why are you trying to turn him against me?

People who believe in ghosts and spirits will disagree with you. Ghosts, religions...bof, same level of madness anyway.

Maybe he feels that way because caring about it so much seems to have gotten so many people in so much trouble.

Because I work undercover for the FSM ¬_¬
You are a fool for telling me that.

People who believe in ghosts and spirits will disagree with you. Ghosts, religions...bof, same level of madness anyway.
I doubt they will claim a spirit is more important than a creator who made it possible for spirits to exist.

Maybe he feels that way because caring about it so much seems to have gotten so many people in so much trouble.
Trouble? Like finding yourself on a plane who is about to crash into a building?
