That Hitler spoof was awesome - my sentiments exactly. I'm still upset even though I knew how it was going to play out. Sean Bean had been so great as Ned Stark and I think it would also be hard for him to find another role so perfect for him. It's just such a waste.
Sean Bean has done really well for himself. I wouldn't worry about him finding work.
Besides, if a nobody had played Stark, I don't think there would be quite the impact.
They really wanted us to CARE about Stark to make that moment really really work. Putting Sean Bean in that role was PERFECT. Most of the audience never suspected--TV doesn't kill off the main character, unless the actor has left after a contract dispute, so why would they suspect it?
Very smart on the part of the producers.
