Well, he disabled or killed all the Lannister guards, but the Kingsguard dude broke his sword. We have seen the Kingsguard dude later, so do the math.
Some fans think that he survived and Arya met him later, disguised as some criminal from the Red Keep dungeons that Yoren takes to the Wall. I think Syrio died a heroic death, protecting Arya.

Not only is Syrio Forel dead, it's a pretty great death scene. Don't see what more anyone would want.
And I'll be pretty pissed if we ever find out otherwise. Syrio being Jaqen H'ghar and also the faceless man in Braavos would be waay too cute for my tastes...

Shit, I didn't recognise him. I was once on a stag weekend with him. Last thing he was in on tv, he played the notorious paedohpile priest Brendan Smyth.
Looks like he'll also be in tonight's episode, helmetless, judging from the preview vid. Hopefully they'll finally give his name (Meryn Trant). The remaining Kingsguard members, Boros Blount, Arys Oakheart, Preston Greenfield, and Mandon Moore are still nameless, faceless extras at this point.

No helmet provides a 360 degree view. Your eyes are on the front of your face.

I don't think they're bullet proof. Might be mistaken, but I don't think they are.
That Hitler spoof was awesome - my sentiments exactly. I'm still upset even though I knew how it was going to play out. Sean Bean had been so great as Ned Stark and I think it would also be hard for him to find another role so perfect for him. It's just such a waste.
Sometimes he gets killed in the end, sometimes he doesn't survive the first 15 minutes ...
Recently he was also in the medieval sort of horror movie named Black Death (great movie btw). Guess how it ended for him
My brother, who didn't read the books, said that he suspected that Ned won't survive the first season just because Sean Bean played him, so it wasn't a big surprise for him.
Yes anyone who already miss medieval Sean Bean should watch Black Death. Not a bad movie at all.
