Yeah, it's on DVD. Netflix too. It's funny. I'm not crazy about Cain's Superman but I have the entire run on DVD. Damn fanboy obsessions. :)

I only have the first season on dvd. It is such a shame that they got rid of Lex as a main character after season one.

John Shea was wonderful as Lex Luthor. What did you think about Michael Landes as Jimmy Olsen?

I always prefered the Jimmy that was in the first season, never cared much about the replacement.

Yeah, he had personality. Justin Whalen looked like the comic book character but he had no personality. Landes was fantastic as Superman's pal. He didn't have red hair of course. But hey, that didn't stop Kristen Kruek. ;)

Loved Landes. Making Olsen a little bit closer to a peer for Lois and Clark worked well in the context of how those two were cast and the general tone of the show. And K Callan and Eddie Jones were delightful as Clark's parents.

Yeah, Callan and Jones were just great. The perfect Ma and Pa Kent.

Yeah I'm really hoping the next Superman TV series we get will be more in the spirit of L&C and not Smallville.

I wonder when we'll get to see Henry Cavil in the costume pics? Zach Snyder stated that he wants to be the first out of the shoot with the pics and I believe that shooting starts late July early August. I'm thinking we could see something at comic con this year.

The New York Times said that Warner Bros. was among the studios that have elected to skip SDCC this year, so I doubt we'll be seeing any photos there.

Pretty crazy since next year will also be a big year with TDKR and Man of Steel.

The Dark Knight Rises will already be out by the time comic con happens. :)

True, but Nolan never goes to SDCC anyway (the WhySoSerious.com ARG for The Dark Knight was done during the 2007 convention, but not as part of the actual programming, and that was handled by an outside company), and since The Man of Steel doesn't even begin shooting until August, there wouldn't be anything to show in the third week of July this year.

It wasn't so much that TPTB got rid of him, but the actor wanted out due to the amount of traveling he did for the show (he lived in New York and the show taped in LA).

I thought when they killed him off at the end of Season 1 that they'd bring him back as a younger, sexier clone. Basically the Lex Luthor II storyline. I don't know why the didn't. They could have kept their main villain AND it would have fit in perfectly with the essential sexiness of the show.

Still one of my favorite Superman moments in any medium. Does anyone recall which episode this was from? I want to say it was a Mark Evanier-written episode, but I'm not positive if that's right.

Pretty sure it's one of the first episodes, if not the first.

I love those little moments...when Clark has fun and is playing around with Lois who just rejects the notion out of sheer implausibility in her eyes.

Speaking of Lois and Clark...while we're on the topic. I remember the hype and build up to Clark telling Lois his secret. That show handled it brilliantly I thought. It was an event. I remember my parents throwing a party at the time and all the guests joined me as I was watching the episode and clapped when it happened. That's how much of an impact that series had at the time. "Smallville" on the other hand had nothing but tease moments it seemed.

According to TVTropes, it was the episode "The Main Man", which introduced Lobo. It was written by Paul Dini.

Really? I remember it being, while cute, somewhat anti-climatic with no buildup. Clark asks her to marry him (with seemingly no intention to tell the secret yet). Season break. Lois response with an upset "Who's asking. Clark or Superman?" Opening credits.
