you might think this is small and i have only recorded a little

well that is a lot of time to record and play music that is sometimes called music, so yes this is all my music of me playing music on the synthesizers and such :) this does not include the 50+ 6hr vcr works with graphics and now the new dvd works in music and graphic constructions.

what do you collect where are your collections

I know that we have image and picture threads that sometimes people post there trek collections, or miniature collections but this is a finer refinement I would not expect to post a image of my recorded cassettes in a picture post of people images and such.. I am thinking we could include porn collections here that are of course "NOT NSFW" with maybe lists and things like that. ,also equipment collections music collection etc. :)

So that is just reasoning to keep this post open for a collection postings: also I did search the lounges and general chat section for collection threads with no luck.. I also am aware that this is not a unique topic exclusive to me or my idea...

my collection of Action Force figures. These are the good guys. Action Force is a multinational special unit created to fight the forces of Baron Ironblood, a ruthless criminal genius bent on world domination!

redshadows3.jpg

Ironblood's the guy in the white with the Ned Kelly mask. The guys in red are Red Shadows, the boney looking one is a Skeletron, the ones with the visors are Mutons, the black clad guy is Black Major, the other two are Kraken.

AF is a British toyline and a cousin to GI Joe, which i also collect.

I don't really collect anything.

There are some things I have multiple items of (eg, CDs, and my box of essential oils), but I don't really have a collecting attitude to those things.

I remember when I was at school, many of the children collected stickers, and had sticker books that needed to be completed, but those always seemed like a fruitless chore to me. I've never cared for collecting anything.

queen.jpg

Queen collection. Has grown a bit since I took this photo.

Doesn't include a sizeable number of Queen CDs and memorabilia I own also, including a drummed with Roger Taylor drumstick given to me by him and signed by him. This is just the vinyl part of it.

This is all I collect, although really I have been priced out of the market for Queen stuff these days. I have a shedload of other picture discs and coloured vinyls from other artists too.

The only thing I really collect is pressed pennies. I have about 50 of them, most made by myself but some given to me by family members who got them on vacation somewhere.

For your viewing pleasure I have photographed some of my favorites below. :D It was hard to get close ups of these shiny little things, so please forgive any blurriness.

Here is the case that I bought in the Pearl Harbor gift shop to hold most of my pennies:

I too / collect essential oils do you care to compare? I have a fifty dollar small bottle of sandalwood that is just the earthiness of sent's going. :) I did not think that others collected these things?..

Pretty much the only thing I've collected are DVDs, and I haven't taken a photo of my entire collection in about five years I think. I've really wound down on the DVD buying since I started driving. I used to joke I have a car's worth of DVDs sitting on my shelves, and with having over 200 of the things that's not much of an exaggeration!

For you I will, but I'm doing this from memory...

Clove, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Lavendar, Juniper, Patchouli
Petitgrain, Frankincense, Tea Tree, Ylang, Jasmine, Ginger
Pine, Cypress, Cedarwood, Vetivert, Rose,
Basil, Clary Sage, Marjoram, Rosemary, Eucalyptus,
Orange, Lemon, Bergamot, Neroli, Peppermint, Lemongrass

...and a few others I can't remember just now.

ok you have more then one up on me LOL

Isn't Clove more medicinal pain killer then scent maybe just because I have smoked a few clove cigarettes that I think that?

Tea tree I might just get.. with the Ylang that I have never heard of ,, Petitgrain would not be good for my collection with the hypertension I have. I have most of the basic smells you mentioned plus some other smells I just bought recently. Patchouli is my favorite one, I like to mix it with the Eucalyptus for a greater aroma dispersion ,, :) I am very surprised at the number of oils you "remember" with out looking and all .. woe.

Clove oil is no less legitimate than any other oil really, just that it has a mild anesthetic effect that gives it some medical uses.

It has a strong aroma that can easily dominate a blend. The scent feels warm, penetrating and serious.

Tea tree I might just get..

This oil smells quite medicinal, cool and green with a clearing effect on the mind. It's a scent I can easily tire of. It's a powerful antifungal/antibacterial agent, discovered to outperform some pharmaceutical grade antibacterials. It is used in a growing number of skin-care products.

with the Ylang that I have never heard of
The scent of Ylang is most distinctive due to the dominant concentration of benzyl alcohol in the oil. It has a rich warm fruity scent, reminiscent of bananas and lilies. Tropical and friendly. I like Ylang.

Petitgrain would not be good for my collection with the hypertension I have.
I find the scent of Petitgrain to be rather bland and ineffectual. A mildly floral overtone, with rather dry and powdery base notes.

I like Patchouli too... I'd include it in my top five. :)

I have a rather extensive collection of dust-bunnies - but at the moment most of them are in storage under my bed :(

Here, however, is my collection of Beatles-albums:

alittleBeatles-1.jpg

ETA:I also have a few graphic novels:

Mostly the kind made for adults -but of course also some of that infantile super-hero shait...

I'm slowly collecting dust.

Well, that and mashup albums, which are not exactly the sort of thing I can display on a shelf for all to see, but I have a few hard disk drives in which they rest.

I was about to say I didn't really collect anything, before realising the obvious.

Not the entire collection (more shoes & shirts and lots of other bits and pieces not shown) but enough for you to get the idea... :D

As a female collector of A LOT of things, i have to say that i think it is so cool when guys have collections, especially action figure collections. It shows you're still young at heart, and thats awesome~

The picture above is beyond awesome.

Sweet!

You know, I think that's kinda cool. I used to love getting a pressed penny when I was a kid.

eta: OK, here's my little corner (in my office) that hubby lets me have for my Trek stuff.
001.jpg

I have a pretty big collection--trading cards, photos from cons, a couple of action figures, the Trek Barbie, the mugs, The Defiant (still in the box) etc. But it's all boxed away. I also have a big collection of autographed photos--mostly of Siddig, but again, hubby made me box it all up. Anyway, here's small section of it; this box was in my closet, and the easiest to get to.

Oh, and here's hubby's collection of board games---most of them, anyway.

I not really collect anything. Once collected cacteens...(whats the plural in English for cactus?), had like 150 but then came some little evil bug, well an army of them, and ate them all.
When I am somewhere I sometimes take a nice stone or something for memory with me, but its not really a great collection.

Holdfast!
How can this all be so very tidy? Can you come and make mine look that way? Mines always in chaos, I never find a thing and even when I tidy it up (like I did yesterday) its not that tidy looking and again chaos in a week or so.
