Super Hero movie-watchers have definitely been trained to stay through the credits in case there is an extra scene at the end. My wife and I sat through the credits of this one, along with a large chunk of the audience, and when the credits ended without any extra scene there were quite a few disappointed "Awwww"s from the crowd.

Anyway, this movie was lots of fun and, unlike XO:Wolverine, it was never boring. I still want to see an X4 that follows up on the events of The Last Stand, but if they only make sequels to First Class with this new cast, I'll be happy.

Of course, the disappointing box office is calling that possibility into question.

My little sister forgot that with Thor

I heard that Fox is in the process of negotiating it back to Marvel, and I think Fantastic Four as well, but that's just hear-say.

We are indeed, however a simple internet search would answers IF in this case you should sit through the credits. It's what I did without being spoiled.

The Last Stand wasn't a poor film, it just killed off characters that were assumed by the audience to have impenetrable character shields, and was consequently demonized by a vocal minority. If a Star Trek film were to, say, kill off Kirk, I'd imagine the same kind of thing would happen ( but I guess we'll never know ).

I saw it today, thought it was a good movie and I hope it gets a sequel.

I've not encountered a single person who liked The Last Stand. I think the people who actually liked it were part of a quiet minority. Aside from killing off characters for no good reason, which is a legitimate complaint, the story was just complete nonsense and spat in the face of the set up from the previous movie.

I liked both TLS and XO:W.0 They weren't anything amazing, but found them enjoyable. I own TLS and would probably watch Wolverine again if it is ever added to Netflix Instant Watch.

"The Last Stand" is one of the worst big budget blockbusters I've ever seen, and one of only two films I've ever openly heckled in a theatre.

Yeah. It's the only movie I've ever seen that made me leave the theater angry.

No, you just quoted the post of someone who did, now unfortunately relegated to apparent nonexistence.

I knew it. I rest my case. Doesn't it suck when character shields go away and anything can happen?

So a mutant cure plot is complete nonsense when it happens in The Last Stand, but not when it happens in First Class?

The Last Stand suffered from poor execution of seemingly multiple story lines. X-Men: First Class makes me wish that either Singer or Vaughn would have remained.

I enjoyed X-Men: The Last Stand. It was a very serviceable action film.

No. Wolverine was terrible. It had some good moments with some ambitious ideas, but it never came together in a coherent way. The film couldn't kept changing gears every 30 minutes it seemed. It seems as if they compressed a storyline that could have filled two to three movies into one. It was as if the director and/or writers said "Lets throw as much crap on the wall as possible and see what sticks".

X-Men: The Last Stand at least had a coherent storyline with characters acting in believable ways. Sure, parts could have been fleshed out some more and their could have been deeper characterization in some parts, but it nicely wrapped up the storyline started in the first two films.

My "favorite" line from the film:

    Clearly, the only explanation.
