"I can't believe they haven't invented it yet!"

iBender

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
'Ice Cream filled Doughnuts'

'Flying Cars'

'Nano Internal Life Support Machines' they can surgically put in you, like 'Pacemakers' but better forever guaranteeing the brain of blood and oxygen...

Not sure about the donuts.

Flying cars? lots of those have been invented. Just none that work well.

Nano whatevers? beyond current technology levels.

What's so hard to believe?

Any inventions you wish to add? I guess I was born way too soon. :)

A Helmet you wear that improves your brain waves; I'll call it the 'Thinking Cap'. :)

Haha, so is an Airbus or a Boeing... You know what I want though... :guffaw:

Maybe if we base the Lab for 'Flying Cars' in Southampton? - Tell them it'll be a new and wacky way to get to the Isle of Whight ;), that might work. :)

Hubby and I had a great idea for a computer game add-on, brought on by his being slaughtered in a certain RPG with his friends. It's been a long-standing joke among us that when a friend screwed another over in a game, one person would sing, in an Opera-Man type voice, "You SUUUCCK!"

We decided there needs to a be pop-up message you can send during on-line games, say, after one of your "pals" has taken you out---a little animated man in a tuxedo who sings a tiny two-note ode to how much you suck.

Flying cars won't happen until they can solve the problem of flying lanes. Heck, the sky is already confusing enough for traffic control as it is. It would likely only cause more accidents.

Why do we need flying cars? Do we need them because we want to reduce journey times? Or is it about getting rid of friction with the road surface to create better fuel economy?

We can reduce journey times by designing a more efficient road network, and by designing superior socialised transportation, such as rail.

We can get rid of friction by having hovercars rather than flying cars... a compact version of hovercraft.

I want teleports mainly because I hate flying - or rather I hate airports.

Though, I guess, if we had teleports we would have to go to a place to use them and put up with the same crap and same sorts of waits as we currently get in airports.

Yeah, I'd love to see more rail transportation. Unfortunately, it almost feels like Canada has largely abandonded it. Except for a few key areas, you'd be hard pressed to find any kind of train travel here on regular schedules.

^That reminds me of a very wacky idea that was rolling around in my head this week, but, a High Speed Rail Link - Linking London to Tokyo... We already have the Euro Tunnel this end. - But even I admit that that idea is a wacky pipe-dream.
