On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, US, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10-million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit the Frog reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, "The Muppets" hits the big screen November 23, 2011.

May the weirdness begin.

That is a ray of light coming from the sky insinuating that their coming is fortold?

I wouldn't mind a Muppets movie set during the end of days Christian Revelations.

"Uncle Kermit, do puppets have souls?"

"We're Muppets not puppets Robin."

"Theres a guy with a hand up my ass. Is that why he didn't got to heaven?"

I like the bit about Animal being in anger management. Otherwise, it remains to be seen whether this is any good. It sounds like it's focused more on the human characters than most previous Muppet movies.

Never been a fan of The Muppets, I can't say this movie will turn me into one and I doubt just as much it'll impress many Muppet fans.

I hope we don't see them walking much if at all. They were always awkward when you saw their lower half.

Let us not forget Kermit's more sinister beginnings!

I love the Muppets, and a lot of the recent movies have been very enjoyable, while some others have been not as good. I'm excited to see this, and hope they don't do anything too off course. Sounds like they're sticking to the classics here.

Um....something is not right.:wtf:

I think it's the fact that for the first time in my life I can see Kermit's crotch and how fat Miss Piggy really is. She's got major cankles.

They've taken the cartoonish quality out and add humanoid characteristics...which just makes it weird.

Jim Henson is turning in his grave.

I'm remaining optimistic, but yeah, the poster does seem a little empty. Seeing as this is only a teaser poster though, I'm sure the final poster will look much better.

They don't look too different to what they usually do the rare times they actually show the legs. As long as in the movie they're just bobbing puppets shown from torso up, I'm happy, but I don't expect we'll see too much of them like this in the movie (fingers crossed).

I wonder if the Muppets can really be the Muppets without Jim Henson. It will take somebody who not only knows them, but somebody with respect for the source material and artistic integrity-- rare qualities these days.

And I really hope they don't CGI them. They must remain real Muppets.

Maybe with this movie we'll finally get the release of the original Muppet specials from the 70s: Frog Prince, Muppet Musicians of Bremen, Hey, Cinderella and Great Santa Claus Switch. I'd love to have them on DVD.
