What a load of sanctimonious twaddle. Just because she wasn't prepared to expose her private life to the prurience of the media (of all sexual persuasions) doesn't mean she wasn't being honest. I admire her for telling them all to go fuck themselves and living her life on her own terms.

Edit: Wait, after a quick search, there were accusations made by one of the people who failed James Randi's million dollar challenge, but that was summarily dismissed.
Personally, I think she was hot in everything she did. The fact that she's gay doesn't change anything. I think quite highly of myself, but it's not like she was going to date me either way.
Well it's a surprise to me. But then again I don't pay much attention to movie stars outside of their films. The most recent movie I saw Jodie in was the french film "A Very Long Engagement".

Me too. I thought she came out and said she was with the same woman for 18 years a few years back. Sadly they broke up.

The million dollar challenge is 100% legitimate, unlike homeopathy, psychic powers, parapsychology, and other pseudo-scientific hand waving. No one has proved anything because it's all bull.

Back in the 80s there was a claim made for dowsing in Canada, (I'm going by memory from reports at the time here) where they did test by hiding test objects at set places along a path and letting student volunteers try to find them. The success rate wasn't high - something like 40% - but well above chance, and within the terms that had been agreed with Randi. He then decided that as the results were less than 100% it wasn't worth further study, and refused to pay up.
And, no, I don't believe in dowsing any more than he does - but that put me right off following his take on things.

Source? I ask because there are a lot of people who strongly dislike James Randi for repeatedly showing their "abilities" for what they are: hogwash. For example, when you're Sylvia Brown and you make up stuff for a living, you get uncomfortable when the genuine article comes along and shows you're not the grand exalted psychic you think you are. As for dowsing, it's the most common submission for the JREF Million dollar challenge. To date, all forms of dowsing have been shown to be false.
