Future of this forum?

I don't see why this forum has to be locked. There are ten seasons of SG-1. Five seasons of Atlantis, two of SGU, two DTV's, and of course the movie that started it all. That's a lot of show to to be discussed. Like others have pointed out if the other five Star Trek forums are still active and they're all done I don't see why this has to be. There are gonna be new fans discovering this great franchise. They need somewhere to go to discuss their new discovery 
As has been said, none of the Trek TV series are currently running, and there's plenty of discussion there. Stargate has well enough seasons of television to warrant continued discussion imo.
I'm sure fans will be discovering the franchise in the future, but, frankly, traffic in this forum has been rather down lately (anyone witness the hurt/heal thread for SG-1 that just petered off due to lack of interest?). Like fans of Babylon 5, it makes more sense for that discovery to happen in the general science fiction and fantasy forum -- the need for a dedicated subforum just doesn't exist anymore.
But this is a Star Trek board, forums for the Trek shows are expected, a Stargate forum isn't.
As long as the Stargate forum is used for discussion it will probably stay, but if the interest dwindles it will most likely be folded back into Sci-Fi & Fantasy.
Yeah this is a Star Trek board that has existed and will continue to do so even without any Trek on the air. That doesn't mean this forum should be locked just because no Stargate is on the air. I suppose as I think Harvey pointed out...as long as there are active discussions going on here there is no need to lock it.
Eventually that will happen and in the future all will see the gods of Stargate as fake.
It is funny most of this forum is for past shows or movies now, the only thing current or upcoming covered by a specific forum is:
- BSG - Blood and Chrome - only planed as a movie but could bring a series.
- Star Trek 12 Movie
- Doctor Who and also Torchwood, even SJA, while canceled has 6 episodes left to air.
Scifi on tv is at a low point these days.

I want to like Terra Nova, but given the kind of behind the scenes bullshit that's been going down, I'm not too optimistic that'll last.
We still have the Trek series forums because this is a Trek board. Lost ended, its forum was locked. The Star Wars prequels finished, the SW forum was folded back into SF&F. Short of any news of a Stargate revival, I suspect this one will have the same fate. That's just speculation on my part, though. I have no insider knowledge on the fate of this forum. 
It's not the end of the world for this forum to go away, anyhow. There's always SF&F for further discussion.
If there's no further BSG material after Blood & Chrome then I'd expect it to get closed, too. No sense keeping around non-Trek forums with very little activity when they could easily be folded into another forum.
