little known stories that would make good Movies/TV series...

Just curious on what non-famous stories would make a good movie or miniseries or series.

I will throw out "Symbiont" by Robert Silverberg, which I always thought would make a good movie.

I think Kage Baker's "The Company" series would make for a great mini-series.

Stephen Tall wrote two books about Earth's first starship, The Stardust Voyages and The Ramsgate Paradox. The first is a series of short stories published in the '60s and '70s, while the second is a single novel. One of the more interesting quirks about the stories is that one of the crew is an artist, not a scientist. She's there because the scientific reports can't always tell the full story, and her paintings are considered just as valuable and important as the scientifc data.

It would never happen, but I would have loved to see a big screen adaptation of Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens' "Star Trek: Federation". It would have surpassed Generations by light years.

Not exactly little known, but when do we get Fahrd and the Grey Mouser on screen?

That's an easy question. The Savage Empire series by Jean Lorrah. It's pretty much a perfect fit for AMC or HBO.

I'm just afraid someplace like sciffy would try to do it, and they'd fail miserably.
