I used to post on the Sci-Fi channel forums when BSG was airing, but stopped after a few months when I realized most of the posters there were unable to read or write coherently.

I used to post at Gateworld until the extreme moderation and overly positive gushing tone which resulted from that, drove me away.

So now TrekBBS is really it for me in terms of non-specialized forums. The relative light moderation and literacy of the posters(even the ones I disagree with) is generally higher than the norm for open message boards.

I have posted at different boards besides this one, but this is the main one and the only one I have posted on consistently for an entire decade.

I am a member of 2 classic film boards (TCM and another one), 1 Sims board, and one LOST board. I am PKTrekGirl at all of them except for the LOST board, where I thought I might get recognized from here, so intentionally went by an alias.

I have not posted on the LOST board since the fall. I have not posted at the Sims board in maybe 18 months - 2 years as I have not been playing Sims 3. I think I posted at TCM last summer a few times - I really need to get back there as I do love the film boards a lot and used to know a lot of people in the online film community.

I also have a channel at YouTube and post comments on videos, although I mainly post comments and 'discuss' only on grunge videos. I watch all kinds of videos...but really only post on grunge vids.

Trekbbs is the main forum I post at, but several other sites I have registered at, but most I have got bored of them lately.

I post on Skyscraper Page on occasion under the same username, as there's not a hell of a lot of urbanism talk on here. But that's really the only one, and I spend most of my time here.

I post regularly on HobbyTalk and the Classic Horror Film Board, and occasionally comment on YouTube and the IMDb message boards. I use the same username everywhere because I’d have trouble remembering more than one.

Speaking of YouTube, I always try to get in a comment or two on Natalie Tran’s videos because she’s so damn cute.

My ass is everywhere.*

(*Everywhere defined as two fora. I do not use Myasishchev elsewhere; I've only recently taken to the habit of using OKBs and aircraft manufactuters in general as aliases. It would be pretty trivially easy to determine who I was on the other place, though.)

I've joined many boards over the years (this was the first of them), but this is the only one I've stuck with. I still lurk at a particular Deus Ex board but rarely post. The other boards I joined were generally boring, or cliquish, or badly run / moderated, or ceased to exist (or some combination of those), or my interests changed to the point where membership was no longer relevant to me, or (as in the case of some computer forums I signed up to) my question was answered. The usernames I use are usually (though not always) derived from Blakes 7.

I'm a member of many forums, but only three of those are visited frequently at present.

Most active (average ~ several posts per day):
-- A sci-fi forum I visit most days. I was a moderator there for a year. It is called trekbbs.

Quite active (average ~ 1 post per day):
-- Another forum I visit a few times a week, and I am a moderator there.
-- A programming forum I visit a few times a week, but it is now less busy than it once was. I was asked to be a moderator there, but I declined.

Low activity (average ~ less than 1 post per day):
-- One forum I visit in infrequent spurts. I used to help administrate this forum, but I recently gave up that role due to diminishing interest.
-- A programming forum I've been a member of for about one year, and I've clocked up only about 100 posts in that time. I'm not too fond of the atmosphere there.

In the past / Now inactive:
-- One forum I haven't visited in over a year, but I was an active member of it for over one year. The crowd there was as good as trekbbs: the people were clever and polite and funny, and most enjoyable to interract with. I remember having some nice discussions there.
-- Another programming forum I haven't visited in over a year, but I was an active member of it for over one year.
-- One game related forum I haven't visited since the autumn, but I was an active member of it for two years.
-- My own forum I deleted last year because nobody visited :(
-- There are a quite a few others that I only made a handful of posts in.

Hmm... I've joined a few forums over the years.

I'm most active here. My own forums are slow as molasses, but then we're not exactly managing the quarterly release schedule for our ezine so... *shrugs* I'm also reasonably active on a couple Doctor Who boards and the other forums I've joined, I've largely forgotten about.

i'm on 5: here, joecanuck.com the Canadian GI Joe forum, bloodforthebaron.com the AF/Joe forum in the UK, Transformers Quake 2 mod forum and another private one.

I voted 5 to 9 though I am currently only posting on this one. However I've been active on many forums for many years, always use this name.

Yeah. I'm on this one mostly, sometimes I visit Wordforge, and there's another one. I can't seem to remember which one it is.

Ah, well. It will come to me eventually.

I went to that forum ( id-"1" )but didn't know what to post. I still think you should of kept the forum for, possible side conversations offshoots from this forum.?

It is a matter of promotion I found, as I had a forum years ago for music that is now defunct due to server hacks. :(

They are, indeed, awesome. Twilight Campfighter is my favourite song of theirs.

:techman: Well that's two of us anyway. I'm from their home state and you couldn't scratch together two fans out of 1,000 people. The last time they played Dayton it wasn't even mentioned in the paper.
I was born in Dayton. Is Suttmiller's still there? I've never heard of the group though. I grew up just north of Dayton... very close to where Glee claims to be.
