Those of you who participate in multiple on-line forums out here in the cyber-web.

1. What other places do you post your thoughts?

2. Do you always use the same account name?

I used to be on Gamefaqs for the longest time. Now I spend a lot of time here. Beyond that, I participate in a couple of forum sites out of Asia.

I have one user name in the US, one user name overseas.

Generally, I seem to particiate on one bbs at a time, although I'm not against the idea of participating on more than one. I remember the first one I ever joined, it was for Harry Potter. Not sure I could even find that board again, if it's even still around. The most fun I ever had was over on Talk CSI where I used to be a moderator. I made some really good friends there and everyone was always so friendly. I still check in there from time to time, but the CSI franchise has lost its luster.

I don't usually use the same names mostly because of the fact that I don't participate simultaneously. I use whatever name strikes my fancy. On the Harry Potter bbs, I used one related to an interest of mine, on Talk CSI I used a name related to a character I liked, and here I use the nickname given to me by my father (he's into fishing  ) If, however, I were to find another bbs to participate in right now, I'd most likely use this same name.

I've been on a few other forums from time to time. The one I'm most active on aside from here is CodeGuru.

I'm a member of several subcultures, not all of which are covered under TrekBBS. This is the primary forum I post at though.

I browse Fark.com for cheap laughs, flame wars, and photoshop threads.

I also post at the official "unofficial" Guided by Voices message board www.ragebox.com/dts. They are an American rock band that never really broke but have a fanatical cult following. I love this band. Love, love, love them.

TrekBBS is essentially my only forum, although I lurk here more than I contribute. I joined other specialist ones such as computing ones when I get PC issues or language ones that come in useful for my degree, but this is the only one I regularly visit.

I joined some other 'interest'-based forums, like the official Goldfrapp forum but I rarely if ever post. I mostly just lurk and vote in polls.

I used to post on multiple forums, but my life has become so hectic and busy in the past couple of years, this is the only place I maintain any kind of consistancy...

I only post here. Other forums pale in comparison. :D

They are, indeed, awesome. Twilight Campfighter is my favourite song of theirs.

:techman: Well that's two of us anyway. I'm from their home state and you couldn't scratch together two fans out of 1,000 people. The last time they played Dayton it wasn't even mentioned in the paper.

I'm on a few hobby/fansites, just to keep up with information, but this is the only forum, "social" site, and the only place I regularly post.

I have tried to get into a couple of other forums related to some other interests of mine (Harry Potter, Disney), but I end up leaving a couple of weeks later. Mostly because there is not a high enough frequency of new posts or the level of moderation is much too high or low.

Let's see. I'm an Admin at Renaissance Next and a Mod at TerranBBS. I'm a member at Shattered Corpse, which is sadly very quiet these days. I'm also a member at the Classic Horror Film Board, but I haven't posted in ages; only because of time constraints, because it's a really nice BBS. I'm also a member at Ex Isle, but generally only post in a couple of RPGs that I'm involved in. I'm registered at IMDB, too, but seldom actually post.

And I'm RJDiogenes everywhere. I'm Copyrighted. :mallory:

I've joined a few boards, but this is really the only one that has stuck. It's also the bluest.

I was originally much more involved with another forum, but a few things changed for me and I stopped posting there. I've made a few good friends from it though. I've reg'd on other boards but tend to kind of come and go. I pretty much stick to the same name.
