X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

No spoilers have been posted in here. Just news and posters. You've not seen any marketing for the movie yet because there hasn't been. Just online stuff. As I've stated several times they will probably kick things into gear during May.

Just saw the trailer a few days back....boy, this is going to be awesome! It killed me. Seriously. I'm not kidding![/Holden Caulfield]

:D

I love James McAvoy. :techman:

Truthfully, I don't know what some of the naysayers in this thread are saying unless someone else quotes their posts, as I have some people blocked ;)

I think the international trailer was better than the domestic, so combined with the two, I think we got as much as we are going to get. I don't doubt the Hellfire Club's significance in the film, but it does seem like they are playing up not just the friendship, but also Magneto specifically. Whether that is because that is truly where the film lies- with the pieces of the lost Origins: Magneto movie- or because Fassbender has surprisingly yet about frickin' time garnered major US attention, I don't know. Perhaps a bit of both.

If more sites got going wiht frame by frame captures, more of those quick flashing details about the plot might come through- there are those mutants being used as collateral damage by the CIA references and some Oliver Platt and Michael Ironside that go by really quickly!

And hello, do parts of this look like a 60s Bond trailer or what? Splice all the Fassy scenes together from all the trailers and remove the X-Men logos, and actually, I keep thinking a little Living Daylights. I know that's not 60s, but before I knew who Fass was early last year, somewhere here told me he was the heir to both Craig and Dalton, and it seriously shows here. Does Vaughn just have that touch? He supposedly wanted Fassbender all along, and MF's says he swears by Layer Cake.

Anyway, if you can find something to complain about in any of these trailers, I think you are in the minority. Now its a matter of pleasing folks with a film providing full length awesomeness of the trailer. :)

KB24 I applaud yours and Jackson Archer's energetic support of this movie! I know we started off rocky (Patience is a virtue my young Padawan! ;) ) but I've become more and more excited for this film. It's starting to take over "Green Lantern" as my most anticipated comic book film. I'm stoked for the score. I'm eager to see a release date and a track listing.

Oh I didn't think we were rocky, Admiral! I know I'm usually the impatient, bitchy, pesky, one who is always complaining about something, so for me to be so supporting this movie might be saying something too. Again, I am very excitied to see if a 60s based movie can be successful, as I think a lot of the 'make 'em teen contemporary cool' updates are seriously flawed. The fact that this has so many awesome players is icing on the cake.

I'm more stoked for this than I was for the original X-Men movie, and though X-2 was the best, my enthusiasm for each film has subsequently dwindled. I like that these trailers are mutants first, global drama second, and bad ass action third. A story will always trump effects, amen.

:)

But I still need to learn patience.

This is my most anticipated movie hands down.
And then Super 8, Thor, Captain America, Green Lantern, cowboys and aliens, Transformers 3, Harry Potter Deathly Hallows pt 2, Rise of the Planet
of the Apes, Pirates 4.

The very first trailer left me with a great big meh. However, every subsequent thing I see about this movie is making me more and more excited for it. This has jumped up to my number two most anticipated film of the summer, right behind Harry Potter.

I have been having the opposite reaction. I think this new trailer gives a little too much away.
