Indeed. Looks awesome. Surprised I hadn;t heard of this til now. Unfortunately Ive been burned by Sega and sonic so many times that I refuse to ever allow myself to feel excitement over one of their releases. The first level to Sonic Unleashed looked and played awesome too.....

Sonic 4 simply should not have been. Period. But Colours was awesome, and Generations makes every Sonic fan need to change their trousers at the sight of it.

Well, I mean, I can understand what they were trying to do with Sonic 4, but this looks more like a real spiritual successor to Sonic 3. It looks more like a true progression of a look and feel with modern touches.

Sonic 1 is the first video game I remember playing (on my 5th or 6th birthday) - God I can't even remember the exact date it feels so long ago

Yeah, I got that for Christmas back in 1991. I've still got the system, controller and the game and they still work perfectly.

Sonic Generations looks great. I've been waiting for them to go back to the old side scroller option since they bungled Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic Unleashed.

I really should dig out my Mega Drive at some point. I bet it still works too.

I was well into Sega; had a Master System beforehand and got the Mega Drive for the first Christmas after it launched. Came with Altered Beast. Sonic was a major step-up on that!

(I still kind of liked Altered Beast though; any game that lets you change into a cannonballing bear isn't all bad)

Same here. Actually we still have a Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast all in perfect working order with a good selection of Sonic games. Though I have probably a dozen copies of Sonic 1, one of them on my mobile phone of all things lol.
