Fall Anime 2010

And there's also recently been:
Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi
Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai
Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne

Hrm. If Lost were an anime, it'd be "Trapped on an island after a plane crash!" I suppose. :p

Sounds like a harem series. :D

Wasn't going to watch AnoHana as the blurb didn't seem very interesting, but enjoyed the first episode. Guess it's a mistake to rely on brief descriptions of slice of life type shows.

noitanimA shows deserve at least a first viewing anyway. I still haven't kept up with their science fiction shows - Fractale was the only thing that kind of caught my interest - but their slice of life shows tend to be good.

And you know, with all the love polygons, Lost wasn't that far away from being a harem show featuring Jack and Sawyer. :p

So, just out of curiosity, what would you guys list as your top 5 anime of all time? Movies, OVAs, series, doesn't matter - just your favorite 5.

1. One Piece
2. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
3. Code Geass
4. Spirited Away
5. Full Metal Alchemist

Although my tastes do differ quite a bit from the majority here, so take my list for what it is.

Your messiah failed in his own mission to save the anime industry. :rommie:

^Well, it usually doesn't do so hot in the ratings department, yeah.

According to wiki, most of their shows haven't interested me. However, I did see:

Honey and Clover
Honey and Clover II
Eden of the East
Library War (Toshokan Sensou)
Shiki
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

All of which were worth watching.

That show, ironically, was actually re-running around the time of the actual earthquake and ended up, understandably getting pulled and replaced afterward because it would have hit WAY too close to home.

I've read about the ending to the original anime and it sounds insane. The "manga faithful" ending thankfully doesn't go that way.

Yeah, not much of interest this season.

So I'm eating my words now. C and Deadman Wonderland seem as if they have a lot of potential. Definitely interesting first episodes, at least. Between those, AnoHana, Hanasaku Iroha, and maybe Steins;Gate it's shaping up pretty well really.

Plus a few guilty pleasure shows like Hen Zemi. heh

The Hen Zemi OVAs were much funnier, if not grosser.

Currently on episode 11 of Gundam 00 season 1.

I actually like it!

Although there should be some sort of background checks on the gundam pilots.

The Saji and Louise stuff is useless at this point.

You do know that most of the Meisters and Celestial Being crew were chosen because they were psychologically scarred victims of war, right? It's sort of like Fight Club- you get a bunch of disenfranchised people, give them a taste of victory/whatever, and they'll be loyal to you forever.

As for Saji and Louise,
they get screwed over hard at the end of the season as everything comes together for the finale
.

And keep in mind this is the first time Gundam has ever had a sustained look at civilian life within a show. Most of the time we get a few episodes dealing with civvies, then they're shoved offscreen except when there needs to be some pathos.
