Not sure how long ago one of these threads appeared on the forum, hopefully long enough to make it an interesting one since opinions do change. I made a few searches and couldn't find one, so here it is. List, in order if possible, your top ten favorite episodes of TOS.

It'd probably be easier if you asked me which one of my kids were my favorite.

Catspaw (I like the music in this one)
    Journey to Babel (good costumes)
    Amok Time (lots of Vulcans)
Mirror, Mirror (like the beard and the uniforms)
Where No Man Has Gone Before (good uniforms)
    Gamesters of Triskelion (good costumes)
Shore Leave (I wouldn't mind going there for a holiday)
Errand of Mercy (love the balls of light!)

Entirely from memory and in no particular (but sort of) order:

Assignment Earth (not really 'TOS' but for obvious reasons: and I like...)
The Enterprise Incident (Romulan Commander & Spock slash)
In Truth Is There No Beauty (Diana Muldaur; intriguing re: beauty/blindness)
Return To Tomorrow (ditto; great love story)
    Mirror Mirror (classic; mirror universe)
    Amok Time (classic...nuff said)
The Squire of Gothos (Trelane as 'Q" model)
Journey To Babel (Sarek; first emotional/family dynamic Trek)
A Piece of The Action (cheesy but fun)
What Are Little Girls Made Of (strange and genuinely disturbing still)

Mine are the traditional favorites, with one exception:

    1. Journey to Babel
    2. Assignment Earth
    3. The Paradise Syndrome
    4. Balance of Terror
    5. Amok Time
    6. City on the Edge of Forever
    7. Mirror Mirror

I'm impressed that two other people have The Paradise Syndrome on their lists! I thought that was one of those "bad" eps.

It's a beautiful episode, and one that is both romantic and tragic.
