OK, folks...here is the challenge... Hardcore Trek fans would love having a mock-up of their favorite Enterprise bridge in their home somewhere. Don't deny it...I know I would. Well, what if you were building a new home and could actually do it? But with a little twist. Using your favorite Enterprise bridge design as inspiration, create a room in a 21st century home. What would a living room based on the TOS bridge look like? Or maybe a TNG bridge inspired bedoroom How about a bathroom design based on Archer's bridge. (Gives new purpose and meaning for "the Captain's Seat") How could these designs be implemented in a practical way in a home of today? You could do a blueprint...a 3-D rendering...a pencil sketch. You can go wild but can you make it livable? I guess we shall see. LOL Good luck and I truly hope you all have fun with this one. ===== As with all monthly challenges, entries are due by midnight on the last day of the month (in this case, April 30, 23:59:59 ). Entrants are encouraged to create separate threads for their works-in-progress, but WIP threads are not required; all works should be original, created for this challenge in this month, and not previously-created works that fit the rules of the challenge. Final entries should be mailed to the moderator at ptrope at gmail dot com by the deadline.
Cool idea! Sounds kind of like that guy who did his condo up like Voyager and then tried to sell it on eBay. Plenty of potential here!
Thanks, Ptrope. I'm kind of hoping to see how well the entries are grounded in reality. Although the really over-the-top ones could be a lot of fun. LOL
well I do have half a TOS Bridge on my kitchen table and a shuttle for a coffee table does that count
Just for giggles I was looking for a reference. Does anyone know the width of the door to the turbo lifts or the diameter / radius of the turbo lifts?

That's very cool. I was expecting a room but you took it to the next level by designing an entire home. I'm glad to hear your were stoked by this challenge. I honestly thought it was going to be a total bust. Nice to see at least one member take a whack at it. Really cool home design you've got going. :-)
Oh poop I forgot to finish my design. This is as far as I got. a transjuzzi. A hot tub like no other. It literally transports all your aches away
Ptrope will have it up soon, RL must be tying him up... usually about the time someone asks "well???", he puts it up lol...
